might be worth trying a faster flow teat to see if this makes any difference.

Hi I'm using the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles, i used them when breast feeding and exprssing milk and my lo took to them no problem.  He went from breast back to bottle and back again so my dh could take him for the whole night once per week. I would def recommend these as they are wide necked too so apart from the anti colic thing they are easier to aim formula into at 3am lol!!!  ;D

HI...i use platex ventaire bottles... http://www.playtexbaby.com/Products/Bottles/VentAire.aspx ...spent a few bucks on them too because they were recommended by my sister inlaw and i have to say i hate them. With my first son (13 years ago...lol) i used platex with the replaceable liners(now drop ins) and they were much better.I should have went with my instincts and bought the drop ins because these ventaires drive me crazy. They leak from the bottom if the cover isnt just tight enough and also from the top if thats not tight enough and with all the pieces to take apart and wash it takes me forever to wash bottles.I suppose all this i could live with if my lo wasnt getting any air but he still burps many times with each bottle.Just didnt seem to do what they claim.

Just letting everyone know my experience.

Thanks
Christina

I've been using Dr. Brown's bottles after trying so many different kinds, I've found this to work best for DD's colic and reflux.  She is now 7 months and I'm thinking of changing bottles simply b/c they Dr. Brown's take longer to clean and I feel she will be fine now on another type of bottle.  I tried a couple, but I keep going back to Dr. Browns!  We'll see...

Hi I'm from Italy and have a 2 and 1/2 month baby girl that has reflux. I was wondering if this Dr Brown bottle someone is talking about is the one I saw on a episode of Tracy helping a family (whose son had this problem) aired in Italy some day ago.
Can someone describe it ? Or put an image of it in the chat ? Or knows if it can be found in Italy ? Tks

Best colic reducing bottles

Anyone know?? Im in the UK and last time we spent alot of money on the Avent bottles only to change to Dr Brown's 2 weeks later because Harvey had really nasty colic and they were mega expensive!!! Im happy to buy them but just wondered if there were anymore I could look at instead? Jake suffered with colic too but they didn't have these bottles around when he was a baby (I dont think!!)

Dr Browns seemed to do the trick but were abit of a pain to clean! But I dont mind, I just want the best! So does anyone know what the best anti colic reducing bottle is??

Ive heard Avent have a new one out??

Platex drop ins worked wonders for my DD. You can get a set for about $15 here (not sure what it is in the UK sorry)  Dr.Browns were not availible when DD was small and the drop is worked great for us.

I think its because it works kind of like the breast in that it lets no air into the bottle. They also have a natural latch which is great if you plan to continue BFing. In fact for the time I did BF it actually helped improve my DD's latch.

I really do love dr browns, tommee tipee do one very similiar called tommee tippee health check, I think.

Also likes tommee tippee closer to nature as you can combine them with a breastpump by them if you choose to express etc...... and they have a good anti colic valve and the coolest thing is that if you have a girl they are in pink.... but think I remember you saying you are having a boy is that right?

So anyway those are my recommendations.

You are welcome, congratulations on having a little boy, you are well outnumbered  ;D ;D

Good luck with your choice, I would love to know what you get, I see bottle and cup buying as an art lol, we have had many different ones!  Forgot avent are good anti colic wise, but the teats do seem pretty fast flowing for the age recommendation, may be just me who found that though  :-*

Looks the same as the one I used in march  :-\  how new is it? I think it is good fornot letting air in, prob not quite as good as dr browns, but I rated them as I used thickened milk, but with un thickened milk it seemed far too fast a flow... good though I thought
