Hugs sweetie, you're not getting it wrong. These LOs just like to keep us on our toes. And we can give you all sorts of ideas and advice, but really you're there with her and you know her best - so our advice might be worth peanuts! My LO certainly doesn't sleep as well or as much as I would like her to ::)

These frequent cry-outs during naps...F would do this when teething. What meds are you giving her?

xx

Calpol is paracetamol, right? If F were teething badly, we might still get those sorts of wakings with paracetamol - it's like it just barely takes the edge of the pain but there's still discomfort. Have you tried giving ibuprofen?

Was going to suggest the same thing as Nuala hun... acetaminophen/calpol is useless for pain relief when bubs is sleeping (takes the edge off during the day okay though).. Bring on the ibuprofen.

Really?i had no idea!
We had a NW at 12.30-u unusual for her to need me during
the night but she settled fast.
Awake crying at 7.20am,but i've managed to settle her-
still awake though but calm at least.
Im thinking of cutting back the A this morning-WDYT?

I'd see how she seems - cutting back a touch can work but usually if I overdo it we just get a short nap again.  That said with a 7.20am WU even if she short naps you can do a 6.30/7pm BT so just follow your instincts.

And yes, I'd agree with the ibuprofen - definitely better than calpol here :)

thanks ladies....it's so good to just think things out here...it calms me down!!!

so i put her in at 12, asleep by 12.05 & this is the calmest sleep she's had recently (since i've had her on thursday anyway)...no meds though....poor pet banged her head off the wooden floor & really cried, so i was afraid to med in case it masked anything...i didn't see her fall cause DH had her, but she was standing & he lost his grip on her when she turned, so she got a fair wallop i'd say.

typical!!!!just as i type she wakes up!!!!that's after 70 mins....possibly going back to sleep again...yes.....it looks good.....no wait....more movement!!!!please go back to sleep LO!!

so she slept 70 mins....i eventually went in to her cause we were going visiting....she was doing the saem as she did yesterday-lying on her tummy, sometimes lifting her head, but generally just sucking her fingers & her lovey...i can't tell if she's asleep during that time....so annoying!!!

she napped ar 16.33 for 32 mins in the car on the way home-poor pet really was exhausted...i'm thinking a 7.30pm BT....WDYT?
