Dear BWs!
I'm in need of some ideas, inspiration and support. I feel like my DD will never start joining in our family dinners, and I'm fed up of trying her on new things that she'll just reject. I feel like she eats the same thing every day...
She won't try anything new and if we against all odds manage to get her to taste something, she never likes it and just spits it out. She has always been a very fussy eater. Eats lots, amount wise, but is just very picky in what she'll actually eat. I know it's common for toddlers to get picky and suspicious of new things, but most normal things (like meat, chicken, potatoes) are still 'new' to her as she's always been like this.
The thing that gets me most down about this at the moment is I don't know how to tackle it
Should I let her have what she wants, or should we start serving new things and not give anything else if she refuses to eat it? So far I've tried introducing new things alongside food I know she'll eat, but then she only eats that and doesn't touch the rest. I also can't help but thinking I did something wrong when introducing solid food to make her like this, or to at least enforce it...
If anyone has any experience of this/strategies that's worked for them, I'm grateful for your advice!
