WOOHOOOOOOO!!! ;D ;D ;D
Negative!!!!! She must have grown out of it - luckily, and I'm sure that being kept 100% eggfree til now has helped!! :) It was all worth it now she's fine! She had a slightly higher reading for the egg white, but still in the range of not intolerant, so yay ... eggs it is!!
Scrambled eggs here too later ... see how she goes as it's a completley new texture to her ... will probably fix her her normal lunch and give DH and me eggs and see if she wants to eat from our plates - all I need now is egg refusal!!!!!! ::)  It feels like the world of toddler feeding has opened up considerably now!

Shiv, my IRL friend's LO had no teeth at 1yr old (she;s 1 week younger than my DD) and now she is waiting on no.3!! But she eats EVERYTHING!!!!! Tough gums are just as good as teeth I think!!

WOW Andi you must be so relieved! Thats great. Max ate a full tin of egg custard after his nap today and loved every bit, so i'll be buying more, its the only custard he's every eaten the full tin!

Let us know how she likes the scrambled egg! Hopefully she will love it. we had it here for lunch today but Max was asleep so he has still yet to try it!

Yeah for Artemis!!  Hope she likes the scrambled egg and Max too!!!  Maeve just had french toast for breakfast and munched it all up!! Must try custard now too..bit of a change from a yogurt for dessert!

Not a tooth in her head...she must be due one soon!  But as you say, it doesn't stop her eating.  I am always a bit afraid of certain foods but she manages with those hard gums and isn't a bit put off so we just go with it.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, to all you lovely ladies, hope you all have a nice relaxing day!

This morning I had to make my own yummy pancake mothers day brekkie as DH is working.
They were quite yum, the kids kept asking for more.

Max ate a full medium sized one cut up small, and some small diced strawberries so i was really happy with his brekkie this morning! Pity I dont have time for pancakes every morning, he would probably eat them every morning (until he gets sick of them)

Shiv, Max didnt get his first tooth until 9 months and he used to manage a fair bit of food aswell, amazing how tough those gums can be.

Happy Mothers Day to you!!  We have ours in April!!  My DH was at home and I was still the one who got up to make breakfast!!  Maeve loves pancakes but I only have a chance to make them from scratch once a week!  I stuck blueberries in them last week and she loved them.  Glad Max liked them too xx

Happy Mummy's Day back at you too!! I also celebrate Mothering Sunday in April (this year) rather than Mother's Day!! ;D But here it's Mother's Day, but DH only remembered half way thru the day when I reminded him to call his Mum!!! ::) ::) ::)

Bek & Shiv, could I have the pancake from scratch recipe please?!  Are these little pancakes (like scotch pancake size) or big crepe style ones (like for pancake day)?

Think I'll give French toast a whirl this morning, but not for breakfast, maybe snack time instead of her usual marmite on toast. Any of you make it with wholemeal bread? DD doesn't eat white bread if I give it now after so long with the brown stuff!

Our ds didn't get his first tooth until 16mths... didn't stop him eating either!!  He did get 4 on top together, closely followed by two on the bottom!

wow 16 months, thats amazing. The experts reckon that the longer the teeth are in the gums the better the teeth are! A cousin of mine was worried that her DS wasnt getting teeth so she took him to the dentist and thats what they told her! so your DS must have great teeth!

I did ask the dentist too and he said the same but who knows!  Don't know if that was his way of reassuring me.  They were having a right laugh at our baby signing class the other day about it and saying I'd have to get Maeve baby dentures if the teeth didn't come soon!!

Andi...the french toast I did the other day was with wholemeal bread (had no white or I probably would have used it) and it turned out fine.  Maeve is used to wholemeal bread so she gobbled it up.

I'm away to put Maeve down for a sleep and I'll be back with the pancake recipe.

French toast was nibbled and refused ... don't blame her, I only ate mine cos I'd taken the time to make it!! I put cinnemon into the egg mix, but couldn't really taste it and the bread and egg just tasted cardboardy ... what did I do wrong??

i was quite worried but they came in the end!!  I also discovered they can do an x-ray to check if the tooth buds were there.  I didn't want ds to have one but if we'd got to 18mths i might have considered it!!  Wish he had lovely teeth... bit of a battle to brush them -lol!

Pancakes )at last!!  Very basic.  My Gran gave it to me...used to make us pancakes every Tuesday the whole way through school!

100g (4oz) plain flour
1 egg
300ml (1/2 pint) milk
optional pinch salt

To make the pancake batter, add the milk, egg and then the flour and blend using an electric blender or food processor. Or if a blender is not available, sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Add the egg and beat well. Then add the milk gradually and beat to make a smooth batter.

Heat a little oil in a large frying pan until hot and then pour enough batter to thinly coat the base of the pan. Cook for a couple of minutes each side.

Bad luck about the french toast Andi.  I put vanilla extract in mine the other day and it was lovely.  Am wondering is it nicer with white bread?

If there are no teeth here by 18 months I may have to look into an xray!!  But no doubt once she gets them I'll be on saying how she won't brush them..LOL!!

Another recipe... american style fluffy cake like pancakes

100g plain flour
half a tsp baking powder
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 egg
125mls milk
25g melted butter

Whizz in blender to make a thick mixture, add more milk of necessary.

Shiv thats the same recipe we use...yummo, sometimes i use self raising flour to make thicker ones.

Might try the american style fluffy cakes though.

We couldnt get my oldest DS to brush his teeth so we took him to the dentist to check everything all out and I asked the dentist what we could do and he recommended buying him a flash electric toothbrush. we did and he loved it, couldnt wait to clean his teeth morning and night and anywhere in between...so thats worth a try!
