Our NAET journey
« on: January 15, 2012, 16:04:44 pm »
Well after about a year of Katerina suffering from multiple allergies/intolerances we have decided to give NAET a go! I thought I would share our progress with you! Hope its a positive one!

So today we went for Katerina's 1st appointment. Not sure how to feel about it. We started with the egg mix which is (egg yolk, egg white, chicken, tetracycline and feathers). She tested positive on it which we expected and was then treated for it. We were told to try egg in a day or so. only a little bit as her last reaction was sever. I'm kinda scared to be honest. Because of the severity of it we actually agreed to wait until we go next time so she can test her again on egg and on each component separately so we make sure that it has been cured. Then we will try it. :thumb up: We are going again on Friday! Fingers crossed something good comes out of it. The lady was lovely and she was positive that we are going to see a difference even if it takes a few more attempts. Lets see!

i will join in on your journey!  I have had 18 treatments and i am much healthier now.
i have a huge thread about my NAET journey if you are interested.

Becky I had no idea!  i hope it goes well for you.

My NAET practitioner is the official trainer for the netherlands and i can always ask her for recommendation for you if you suspect yours isnt going anywhere.   I am not sure where happyface is at.  The official trainer for uk is Helen Bowman, just so you know, Becky.

best of luck and it really works for me and hope for the same for u.

Thank you so much girls! I will keep it in mind if we are not happy with our current practitioner. She seems lovely but will need to see some results I guess! I am based in London! I have seen your thread, this is how I learned about NAET so thank you! :D

Can I ask how quickly you saw results? I am a bit apprehensive that we went once and she treated the egg mix which is Katerina's worst reaction so if it works I'll be amazed!

for the one item she treated, the results would be immediate.  but sometimes i got really bad reaction from the next thing and one treatment per week took a long time.

mine has become very complicated over a very long period of time.  so hopefully for a LO, it will be faster!

praying for you and Becky, too.

Well! today was session 2! The practitioner tested Katerina for all the components of the egg mix separately. She tested positive on egg white but not as much as last week. So she was treated again for it along with BASE which is digestive juices and enzymes from intestinal tracks. So we are to try a little bit of egg yolk tomorrow and then see what happens on Sunday when we go again before we offer her egg white. She also tested her for the antihistamine she is on and said she is intolerant to it and we should treat her for it.

sounds positive so far :)

DD has her second appt next week. So far we have been told to avoid rice and cinnamon and she treated her for her formula as she was showing an intolerance to that although was fine when tested for milk so must be something else. Have tried a few more foods since he 1st appt so will test for those next week. Am thinking egg may be an issue for us.

how old is Katerina?  Which from the basic 15 is she allergic or sensitive to?

fingers crossed for the egg trial tomorrow.

do you both have the handbook?  It gave me a lot of insights as to what might have caused my reaction.

Good luck Becky!! Its amazing that they can test anything! I'm impressed to be honest!

I'm not sure what the basic 15 are? She never tested her for anything else. She started with the egg mix last time. Then today she tested her for some vitamins and the probiotic she is on. Probiotics she is fine, the vitamins was 50%. And the antihistamine she is intolerant to. She also tested for stomach acids and she was fine.

Does this all make sense? We don't have the handbook but she told us it would be good to buy it and I forgot. Thanks for reminding me! :-)

the basic 15 covers all basic nutrients we need, if we are allergic or reacting to these, our health would be affected and we would be reacting to more foods because they are the core nutrients or components in foods.

for example, vitamine A mix, if one is reacting to it, then you will react to carrots, multivitamine pill, etc.  then treating carrots or the pill individually wont solve the problem entirely and it will take you much longer to get rid of one allergy/intolerance, iykwim.

How old is Katerina?  It would be beneficial to keep a food journal for all foods and drinks and reactions.  She might have tested a whole load of things as it goes very quickly.

the handbook explains what you have to do before, during amd after the treatment and what to avoid during the 25 h avoidance period.  you can order it from amazon.co.uk.

How did you find your practitioners?  There have been reports about practitioners not following the code of practice.

Katerina is 21 months. Sorry forgot to say not he previous post.

I realised what the basic 15 are! The practitioner gave us a list of them which says what they treat and what to avoid for the next 25 hours. It doesn't say what to do before hand though!

She hasn't tested her yet for other things other than the ones I mentioned as she was working on the egg mix still! On a positive note we gave Katerina some egg yolk today and she seemed fine with. No immediate reaction like last time she had egg, though that would have been the egg white! Still I'm happy, though cautious and waiting to see if I see a delayed reaction. I do keep a diary of what she eats and drinks every day and her reactions! :-)

On a side note I've been giving her some yellow cheese for the past week. She hasn't been treated for dairy yet, but she seems to tolerate it which I'm happy about! I'm sure she won't tolerate milk yet but hopefully NAET will help with that!

We are going again tomorrow morning!

Could you please send me a link of the handbook? I couldn't find it on Amazon!
