No, a 1.5 in any age is a restorative full nap.
If you go down for a nap yourself do you always sleep the exact same length? Sometimes we are more tired, sometimes less, and our LOs are the same :).

Try not to get hung up on the "rules" of what is an OT and what is an UT nap :-)  It may or may not have been OT but I must say though that I personally would think that a 1.5hr nap (if it's the only nap all day) is not enough for an 11 month old.

Well there lies the crux of the issue. He's 11 months on 4.5hrs A. Manytimes does a 2hr+ nap on that time in which from what I'm gathering just do a EBT. However on days like yesterday o did 4.5hr A got a nap of 1hr50 min. So at 12:50 what am I to do. Could have done EBT at 5:30 or a cn. I apopd a cn
after A of 3hra 20 min from 4:10-4:45. BT at 7:15. He woke at 2:30 self settled 3:30 tried to ss but couldn't got bavk to sleep by 4:30, up at 5,30. Now I'm having to apop again this am. I'm exhausted.

At 11m there shouldn't be only one nap, 11m is only the beginning of the transition to 1 nap, or the middle of it for few babies.
If you have a 1.5h nap + a CN then it's ok, IM

Siobhan, I actually think you did the right thing giving him a CN. This transition to 1 nap was the hardest for us and you ought to get many messes up days. The A time before your CN (the shorter nap whenever it is, AM or PM) doesn't have to be a full one, because you are aiming for an Ut nap anyway.

I will usually do a CN if s less than 2hrs, however we have had one nap days and ebt due to a 2hr30 min nap etc. And it has worked. I do an A of 3hrs usually before a CN which is much less than his normal A. I still get NW and EW when I do that. He's a mess. And for the first time in months he short napped this morning 40 min. After a AWFUL night he wad probably OT. I did the CN yesterday, and it wad an awful night.

By the way, I checked with other mods as well and a 1.5h nap when there is still a CN is a restorative nap.
