Hello!

I have been eating egg without worsening of her gas for about 2 weeks so I am re-introducing dairy today. I had cream in my 2 cups of decaf this morning, and I like coffee light so probably about 3 oz. total.

I hope that was okay??

When reintroducing do you go slow? With egg it was easy because I would never eat more than one egg a day, but I eat dairy (soy, wheat & gluten) a lot on my normal diet.

I saw the ped. yesterday who is not convinced this is intolerance. We discussed starting solids and she said that their is evidence that kids who eat gluten starting b/w 4-6 months have a lower risk of having celiac dz.....have you guys heard this before?

I have found all drs have different opinions on solids, and foods like dairy and wheat. The research I have done shows it's inconclusive really ... Personally I am not sure I would take that advice as gospel YK?

Fx dairy reintro goes well

Would you go slow with re-introducing dairy or just go all in?

Hi, her only symptoms were wind right? So I would just go for it. She might need a lot to get the wind going YK  ::) What a subject! If you go slow then it might take ages for the reaction to build up for you to notice and then it gets confusing.

Yes, her symptoms were wind, and eczema in the fold on her thighs and behind her knees.  The wind seemed to improve after I had eliminated dairy, soy, wheat and gluten.

The eczema never improved.

I did NOT notice improvement of wind with just the elimination of dairy and soy.

Day 1 of dairy re-inroduction I had ~3oz of cream, a vanilla milk shake  ;D, and finished my sons halloween chocolate  :o (only the wheat/gluten free ones). She had zero painful wind overnight.

Day 2 of dairy re-introdcution I had 1 oz of cream, ice cream twice and one slice of cheese. She had (1) 45 min long episode of painful wind in the middle of the night. She would not even BF during it, and tons of wind came out.

What do you think? I was thinking of keeping dairy for at least another day to make sure it's not a coincidence?

ps. can you tell I like ice cream? ;) ;) ;)

How did it go Nini? Our accidental trial was not too bad...spit ups and gassy but not like before but I think I will stick with df for a while longer and try again when she is 4-5 months.

Just normal gas, nothing painful. Yay! I didn't have any ice cream though, but I had milk in my cereal and some cream in my coffee. I think I'll keep having dairy and see how it goes.

So glad it didn't end up too bad for E!!
