Starting to get appetite back after that horrible virus. Yesterday was:

B: some grapes, half a toasted mini bagel with butter, most of a silver dollar pancake
L: 1/2 scrambled egg with cheese and spinach, some applesauce
S: whole wheat crackers with peanut butter
D: one homemade chicken nugget, sweet potato fries, cantaloupe

Today he ate some grapes then refused challah french toast. Then at a whole Clif Z kids bar. The honey graham. Cool with me since it's super healthy - whole grains, very low sugar, etc. Thinking lunch will be leftover pizza with yogurt (with veg puree mixed in). We may go out for Mexican for dinner.

We may go out for Mexican for dinner.

Ooh Mexican for dinner - can I come too?  ;) Really fancy Mexican food now!

Today
B: porridge with blueberries (DD chose it - maybe she's had her fill of cereal medley  ;)), OJ
S: pack of yoghurt coated fruit flakes
L: THREE  :o (kept asking for more!) mini kabanos (salami), shared some toasted fruit teacake with me, apple juice
(not a great lunch - we were out and had a lovey disaster which thankfully was saved but kind of threw me as we were out and about and supposed to be eating out, kwim?)
S: innocent fruit smoothie tube (from freezer), water
D: leftover crustless quiche with fried mashed potato, onion, spring onion & cheese, mayo for dipping, apple & blackberry crumble & custard, water, piece of home-made banana fruit loaf

I wish I could bring us all and have a big Mexican fiesta!!!

Definitely make up eating. For lunch he proceeded to eat an entire piece of pizza and 20 blueberries and is now having veggie chips for snack. Will bring yogurt to the restaurant with us tonight...

Today Callum had:

B - Big bowl of porridge, banana
S - none today! fell asleep in car
L - (at friends house playdate) Fish finger, potatoes and peas, tomato sauce for dipping
S - Babybel cheese, banana, whoopie pie (treat from daddy when we got home)
D - Pasta with red pesto and grated cheese, 2 small fromage frais, bowl of strawberrys

Does anyone else notice on playdates and when you go places like soft play its hard to get lo's to eat? In theory he should be starving using all that energy but he just wants to play on and finds at the end he's suddenly starving!

Today:

Breakfast:
Pancake, chocolate chip mini muffins (from daddy) pieces of banana but she was thrilled with it.

Lunch: (at birthday party)
Three large plates of fruit (cantelope, blueberries, grapes, watermelon, honeydew, pineapple, kiwi)
1 slice of pizza
1/2 of a cupcake

Snack: Yogurt, applesauce muffin (from deceptively delicious)

Dinner: Veggie burger, 2 chicken nuggets, was offered carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and some pork but those were a no go.

I totally noticed that she was not interested in eating until EVERYONE sat down and ate including the adults.  Its exhausting!

Emma, DS is the same way when we are out at the park or a playdate.

Today Nathan had...
B: french toast with maple syrup and some roasted potatoes
S: a banana, raisins, and grapes with yogurt for dipping
L: cheese, goldfish crackers, cucumber
S: toddler puffs, dried pineapple chunks, and mini Mini Wheats
D: chunks of beef from our beef stew, more cheese, pickles, and an entire piece of corn on the cob eaten very carefully and enthusiastically (his new fave food).

DH asked him tonight what he wanted to go with his meat and corn while holding the fridge door open, and DS pointed to the pickles and the cheese. Made things easy!

Hello all!!  Aaron's really taken a growth spurt and has been eating TONS!  DH has added a snack in the AM to tide him over until lunch (so, he's getting a bottle, breakfast, snack, AND lunch all before his nap!).

Today was:

B: an egg over easy (bleh! but DH loves them, so whatever) and toast.  Apparently, Aaron LOVED this which is awesome bc he's hit or miss when eating scrambled eggs.
S: whatever DH gave him
L: chicken pillow (chicken, cream cheese, and green onions in a crescent roll) and a banana
S: goldfish and whatever else DH gave him
D: went out to eat tonight for some Tex-Mex.  Ate some spanish rice, some avocado, some of his cheese enchilada, some chips, some fajita meat, and lots of tortilla.  I don't think he really ate a lot overall, but he never does when we eat out (he gets distracted I think)

Bernie-got it! what oil do you use?

Glad you found it - tho I did think afterwards it would've been quicker for you if I'd just told you which thread it was on cos it takes forever to find a recipe among the 'few' we've accumulated  ;)

Funny you should ask that question - cos the first time I made it I knew that I had all the ingredients but til I started putting it together I'd not thought to ask what kind of oil  :P (I like to have all the details when I first try a recipe  :-[) Couldn't wait for an answer as I was in the middle of the recipe so just made a decision - all I had was olive oil or sunflower oil in the cupboard - didn't think olive oil would be right (not sure why tho!) so opted for sunflower and I've used that ever since - think I would use veg oil but I bought the sunflower oil for a recipe and rather than buy another bottle to squeeze in to my overstocked 'condiments' shelf I just stuck with it, iykwim?

I hope that my 'ramble' answered your question  ;) And now I have one for you . . . have you shared your sausage hotpot recipe anywhere (ie the menu planning thread) and if not, please could you  :-*

Today
B: cereal medley & milk, OJ
S: pack of fruit 'sweets'
L: toddler meal: egg sandwich, small sausage roll with brown sauce for dipping, grapes, mini milk lolly, juice
S: few bits of chopped up plum, juice
D: 'home-made pizza' (made on large flat breadcake) topped with tinned tomatoes, onion, courgette, ham & cheese, mini muller rice, few blueberries, bit of milk to drink, piece of banana fruit loaf

Bernie! So nice to know your name...is it short for something?

Yesterday - nothing to report. Fruits and peas is about all I can hail a victory for ;)

Today so far,
B- 1/4 of spinach pancake, a few bites of omelet (put some rice milk and italian seasoning, she seemed to enjoy it until she decided that was it), a few bites of toast with almond butter, a couple pieces of nectarine
S - a few goldfishes and some toddler puffs
L - let's see ;)

Oh and Bernie, your picture is so precious. I'd love to see how she's grown!

Bernie i havnt Share it..but here goes:
6 fat sausages with herbs
slash of red wine
175ml veg stock
3tbsp caramelised  red onions
potatoes thinly sliced, pre cooked for 7 ish mins

Fry sausages in frying pan in oil for 10 ish mins, turn often.Slash in a couple pf tblspoons of red wine.pour in stock and stir in the onions.let the mixture bubble for 3/4 mins so it thickens and turnsinto a gravy.remove from heat.spread potatoes over the sausages and gravy.put thefrying pan under a pre heated grill untill pots go golden.

Thats the original recipe. But i have added leeks and mushrooms before and grated cheese on the top.

I haven't posted for the last week as we have been away but have enjoyed catching up with all your yummy foods just now. I like the sound of your hotpot Lucy.
I will start posting again now we're back.
While we were in Spain DS tried lots of typical Spanish foods like paella and Spanish tortilla which he loved as well as various fish dishes. The saffron from the paella gave him little yellow, oily lips and it was so cute. He also ate ice cream, porridge, veggies and chips on various occasions.

Is a hotpot a British thing? I have never heard of that before. Looks good!

Good food day here...
B: toast spread with almond butter, peaches, and bananas (with cherry jam for dipping)
S: raisins, dried pineapple, mini Mini Wheats, low sodium Ritz crackers
L: spinach linguini (green noodles!) in a cheese sauce that DH made with some veggies, with fresh parmesan cheese on top
D: chunks of smoked beef (done very slowly on our bbq all day... it smelled so good around here!), strawberries, brocolli, and a 1/2 corn on the cob
