Well tbh it is really just chicken pasta and mango drizzled in Olive oil! I guess I could put red pepper and cucumber strips if I had any to make it more salady!

Just been done the shops and bought fillet steak for olly tonight! He will have it in strips with sweet pot wedges and veg

Don't be too impressed - he didn't eat it! I bought fillet as I thought it would be soft enough for him to eat but clearly it wasn't. Chalk that up to experience  ::)

Yep it was only ok though. Thought it would nice and soft but wasn't. That def sounds like teeth. I find with olly he won't eat even if mashed up too.

Lots of ideas for my picky little man (16 months):

B: mini weetabix, shreddies, strawbs and blueberrys (dry)
S: Yoghurt and breadstick
L: Sausage (half), cucumber slices, bite of omlette (wouldn't touch anything else :-(
D: planning on meatballs, macaroni pasts (cooked but dry) and cheese cubes
Supper: hopfeully readybrek (after a suprise success last night)

Everything has to be finger food for him, always running out of ideas.

B: 1 pancake, yogurt, blueberries and strawberries
S: Cheerios & raisins
L: 1/4 large tortilla, 1/2 clementine, cabbage roll stirfry

Lilly- I used to mix all kinds of stuff into mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes and mix in an egg and spices and then bake them in the oven into 'pancakes' (350 F for about 20-30 minutes or until set.  I used parchment paper to prevent sticking and froze extras.)  DS loved them and I could use up leftovers and veggies and all kinds of stuff and they were really easy for him to pick up and eat...

We are still have rubbish feeding, day 9 of it now with occasional good day.  And now we have a fever after a day of poor eating and refluxing....sigh!

hi, chiming in.....we have rubbish eating for the last few days, and could do with someone telling me this is enough for a 2.5yo to live off.....or if i need to set up a night drip for him!

yesterday:
B- 1/2 slice toast with olive spread and jam, cranberries (dried)
S- 2 digestive biscuits
L- 1/2 piece bread with ham and ketchup, 10 hula hoops 1 fruit stick snack
S- banana in supermarket trolley
D- boiled egg (ate 1/2) and muffin strips (did not want), jelly

OK so on paper it doesnt look so bad, but it feels like he is just snacking his way through the day. Asking for puddings/treats/snacks all day and not actually eating proper food. Last proper dinner was sunday night when he ate 1/2 a kids portion of roast dinner (ate 1 slice roast parsnip, 5 cubes roast chicken, few bites of broccoli, and 1/2 a potato.)

Dont think it helps that he has a cough and snotbag nose, and last 2 molars are teething too. Maybe i should go easier on the little guy.....

Wow lilli, sounds like your lo has a lot to contend with right now with molars and cold. My lo is only 16mo so not sure what to say about a 2.5 yr old but my sid in law has child same age as yours and she eats very little at each meal sitting and asks for snacks thru the day. My sis in law has given ip forcing the issue and just goes with flow and her lo is in good health and growing and very active etc......

I'm going to try to contribute to this board every once in a while.  Lili - not sure what 'normal' should be, but it does seem like your LO isn't eating very much?  I've always considered DD to be a light eater (and picky too), but here is what she ate today (amounts are.. of course, approximate):

B: 1-2 oz rice/oatmeal cereal, 1/2 clementine orange, 3 mini wheats, 1/4 pancake w/honey
L1 (before nap): 4 bites rice/oat cereal, nibbled at carrot, 1/4 banana, 1 bite cheese stick, refused broccoli, cucumber, strawberries
L2 (after nap): 1/2 pancake w/PB&J, 2 oz strawberries, 1 oz kiwi, refused green beans
D: 1 oz green beans, 1 oz broccoli, 5 oz pasta w/parm cheese, 3 oz strawberry yogurt, spinach (raw)

It LOOKS like DD eats a lot.. but in reality she just pecks around and doesn't eat a lot of anything.  ::)

i know he doesnt eat much! he's on the 8th centile, has followed this from birth so not too worried really.

yesterday was better he had

B: half a teacake with olive spread
S: 1 biscuit and juice
L: 1/4 adult size chicken and bacon club sanwich and about 15 grapes
S: 2 mini gingerbread men (sugar free)
D: 2 vegetable fingers and peas with ketchup (offered dessert, and he said he was full!)
10oz milk through the day.

TBH its the milk i'm trying to cut. In the mornings he has a little beaker of soy milk (been on since 7 months for MPI, now down to 4oz). Not interested in juice or anything else other than "his" milk

In the evenings, he likes a beaker before bed, have dropped this down to 6oz. trying to get it even lower down to 4. But obviously I am aware that with the lack of dairy in his diet, that other sources of calcium etc are sparce.
