No rash this morning I think he was a bit constipated so that could have caused it. Poop was more normal this morning and he went twice already.  Guess the prunes yesterday worked.  :) offere d pumpkin pancakes this morning and a few goldfish for a snack. Could not find organic cheddar but ssh is find american cheese which is a little mOre mild so we'll try that tomorrow.

Yay for no rash and normal poops ;D FX for today.

Has he had wheat yet? just asking because it can also be hard initially on their little systems, if he's not used to it (in the goldfish)

Yeah he's been eating bread for a while now. I only gave him 5 or 6 of them and that's it for the day. Too much salt. He did like them though. :)

ok things aren't going so well. I am not sure if these are related things or not. On July 4 he came down with a 103 temperature I've been treating it now for 4 days. This morning its 99.8 which I think is pretty normal for the summer. So I'm not going to give him any fever medication. However the last two nights he has woken up with severe gas pain. We are on vacation so we are not home right now. I am Not sure if this is contributing to the constipation and gas or not. However we have moved on to some cheese but mostly it's still pretty baked milk in the past couple days. He hasn't been having a lot maybe a slice of bread store bought bread. His poops are not the normal playdoh consistency and he is only going once a day rather than 3. I am a little concerned. Should I stop all milk till we get home? Not sure if he's constipated or blocked or is dehydrated.

(((hugs)))

Maybe he caught a virus or a bug that causes this?? Hard to tell...

Cheese constipates M, even in very small amounts :( He can do ok with lots and lots of water though, maybe increase his fluid consumption if you can?

I'm not sure what I'd do either, but being on vacation I think I may stop it all and just enjoy the vacation and start later, but obviously it's a personal decision...

The only issue with stopping is when we go to rest his poop in a week the blood if there is any may be gone because we stopped the trial? He seems to be doing better today. Pooped 2 times already. 1st wasn't great but the 2nd consisrwnxxy was much better. Maybe it was a virus or something. He is also teethinf lik crazy. The bottom teeth seem to bother him so much more than the top.

We are here for 3 more days so hopefully he'll geel better soon. Hes really enjoying the beach.

Then I'd continue hon... so long as he's doing ok and you are too, keep on with the trial at least with the testing you'll know.

If constipation is the issue, maybe stick to baked milk and avoid cheese, just in case?

Glad he's doing better today and that he's enjoying the beach :)

Thanks. We stopped all cheese when he got sick July 4. Doing only baked milk in breads and egg dishes so we'll see. Thanks so much for your advice. Hopefully things get back on track. Would really love for him to get off this formula. Maybe try cheese again when we get back. Trg ing to get lots of water into him. How much water does he need a day do you think? On a general basis.

I'm not sure M is a good 'example' because he seems to need LOTS of water... He gets 4 oz AM + 4 oz PM + 2 x 3 oz of broth (bf lunch and dinner) in addition to his milk! But I have found that giving him this much water really helps him to not be constipated. I'm starting to make it into diluted juice to help as well currently I use 1 oz white grape juice and 3-4 oz of water.

But as I said it may  not be 'standard' but I find that in hot weather he is really cranky if he doesn't get as much water... But I asked his Dr today and she said it was not too much and to keep up with it if it is what he needs!
