Hope she has a good plan for you!

My SIL gives that yucky oral vitamin to my neice when she's in the bath since it's so messy.  Would that work for the gaviscon??

I don't think I could hold on to her tight enough in the bath! Slippery lil thing!

So we have done five nights of sleep consultant's 'The Plan' and things are pretty much how they were. The rules are, she gets a DF at 10.30, and then no more feeds until 5am. The first night she had two NWs but after that it has just been one per night, but so far at least there's no real sign of them getting any shorter. 1.5hrs last night - not crying, but not settling either. I'm nervous at the 5am feed: if she wakes at 5am that's fine she will usually go back to sleep, but if she wakes at 5.30-5.45 she generally won't, and that's a very early start for me after being up for 1.5hrs in the night.

Does sound like it's an improvement Anna, with only 1 NWing.  Fingers crossed for you that it gets better from here.

1.5 hour long night waking sucks.  :(

I'll be interested to see how the SC recommends managing that as you follow up with her.

Me too ;)

TBH, 'the plan' doesn't seem like anything much that I haven't already been doing. A few tweaks to the wind-down and to her sleeping environment. I suspect that when we check in tomorrow I'll be told to just keep at it, but then maybe NEXT week we'll need a change of tactic.

Would an early morning df work? I think you mentioned it earlier or on another thread. If she isnt awake by 5 then a df? For a few weeks to get her used to sleeping that long then phase it out?

Well the 'good news' is that the SC can now see that there is something awry. We have not deviated from her plan by the smallest point but at the end of the second week her sleep is now worse rather than better (it seemed to be getting better during the first week but has deteriorated). She wants us to get video footage of what happens at a night waking, and will perhaps come and spend a night here with us to see what's going on.

{{Hugs}}  I'm so bummed for you that it's not better, but it's very validating that there's definitely something unusual going on!

Intrigued to hear what she recommends.  Thanks for updating!  I was just thinking of this thread earlier today and wondering how you were doing.

Hugs Anna.  Sorry there's no improvement, but it's definitely good to get validation that something else is wrong.  Hope she can help and you can all get some rest soon.

Hugs Anna, Sorry Audrey's sleep is not getting better. I'll be interested to find out what the SC suggests - certainly validating to know there's something awry though.

Looks like it isn't money wasted after all. Sorry that there is something wrong, but hope that you can get some answers and there is therefore a solution.

Just sending hugs.
My husband is running 13.1 miles in the Great North Run in memory of my brother. Please can you help us raise funds for the Cardiomyopathy Association in his memory?
