I do love to see what the little folk are eating  :)

Yesterday:
B: Slice of raisin toast, slice of jam and toast, lots of melon, juicy water
S: Pack of organix cheese crackers, milk
L: Couple of bites of ham sandwich - nothing else
S: Milk (and I think some of DH's cereal bar)
D: Colcannon (mash potato mixed with kale) topped with cheese & poached egg - didn't eat much of it though

Yeah saturday is low key here too...DD3 is 17 months and so far today has been:

B - toast with hummus, 6 oz formula
S - 4 bbq flavour rice crackers, 1/4 of a banana, 6 choc covered raisins, water
L - oatmeal (1/2 cup maybe??), water
S- tiny piece of choc cake (offered pears but she didn't like them!)

Supper will be cheesy noodles and garlic toast plus 6 oz formula after bath time. She does drink milk at daycare but has been refusing it at home since having a tummy bug & double ear infection so I bought her fav formula again.

Doesn't sound terrible at all me dear  ;) I remember someone telling me when DD was little not to look at what a LO has eaten in a day, to look at a whole week instead - you usually find that they have 'averaged' out the calories: somedays eating more than others (def true of DS this week!  ;)) and also that a LO will not starve - they self regulate way better than we do. I don't want to start a thread for us cos then I'd realise how much I actually eat  :P

Yesterday:
B: 2 bowls of porridge with mixed dried fruit topped with cheerios and drizzle of honey, lots of melon, juicy water
S: none - breakfast was late
L: spicy cabbage & butter bean soup, crusty bread roll with cream cheese, fruit pot, sesame/cranberry bite, water
S: milk (not sure if he had anything to eat - was out with DD and he was at home with DH)
D: sloppy joe in bread bun, potato wedges - couple of bites of sloppy joe, one potato wedge  ::)

Also helpful to remember their stomachs are darn tiny...DH was feeding E a snack at 4 pm and then surprised that when supper came at 5:30 pm she was not hungry.

So supper last night ended up being garlic toast and banana as she rejected the mac & cheese. A few choc covered raisins for dessert rounded out the meal :P. E is a total chocoholic, when she was sick she only wanted formula & chocolate (we hadfound a stash from last easter that was still good!).

Yes we mostly do...exception being breakfast on sat/sun...DH & are up first, he eats then, then he feeds the kids and once they are done I eat (I cannot stomach food right when I wake up).  If it is just me and E I try to at least have a snack while she eats and sit with her.

Today so far:

B - toast with hummus & formula
S - was a run on affair as she found the crackers - probably had 6
L - garlic toast, 1/2 banana, oatmeal (ate hers and DD2's leftovers!)
S - baby puff snacks, 2 pretzels
S (supper...I don't call it dinner!) - plan is spaghetti, which usually she loves. And leftover choc cake.

Oh and I am purposely feeding her a lot of binding foods as she had the runs at daycare friday (yeah they fed her too much fruit and then gave her raisins) so that is why her diet is mostly rice crackers, bananas and oatmeal! Usually she has fruit & veg too (though she is not big on her veg at all). I have to work mon/tue and she will get sent home if she has diarrhea again.

I love a food monster  ;)

Yes I always forget that your stomach is the size of your fist - saw it on a TV programme yrs ago - and that your portion size shouldn't be any bigger than that . . . I am guilty of eating way more than my fist sized portion  :-[ And also probably overload the LOs plates too.

Yesterday:
B: slice of toast, lots of melon, juicy water, milk
S: none - had a late breakfast
L: 'pick & mix' plate - half an avocado, salami, cheese, hummus, breadsticks, green & black olives, cherry toms & cucumber, chocolate/orange pudding (pot), mini hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows, tangerine
S: milk
D: 'sausage' pasta bake (made with pork mince, passata, grated courgette, topped with cheese), plum clafoutis with custard, bit of chocolate (another chocoholic here I think!), tangerine

Berni I am the same way with my own eating! I am also guilty of not buying things DH and I don't eat for the kids to at least try (like olives!). I hate food waste so I serve really small portions and then they get seconds if they want. Will be back tonight to report the day!
