I'll come back with the detailed description from the book. I'm exhausted from the holidays and tonnes of things to do before my next appointment tomorrow.

You can also google "self muscle testing" and you will find some tutorials.  I don't know if it's right to copy those pages to send to you, but there are only 3 pages from Dr Nambudripad's book.  I'll be back tomorrow.

ok...  The book describes an "O" ring test for self testing.
step 1)  Form an "O" with the thumb and little finger on one hand and use the index finger on the other hand to separate the "O".  If the little finger and thumb separates easily, test the ring finger and thumb.  It should remain strong.  Find a finger-thumb combination that can resist the pressure of the index finger of the other hand.  Use that finger-thumb combination as the test muscle.
step 2)  If the "O" ring remains inseparable and fairly strong, hold the allergen in the other hand, by the fingertips and perform step 1 again.  If the "O" ring separates easily, person is allergic to the substance he/she is touching.  If the "O" ring remains strong, the substance is not an allergen.

I asked my therapist if everyone could self test and she said yes.  But it can take some practice to know what "weak muscle strength" mean.  The book suggests to get a whole bunch of things to see how your muscle responds. Rub hands together for 30 secs after each substance.

I had my 4th treatment this morning and I felt fine and got Vit A mix treated.

well...  i have had my 6th treatment and i got treated first on my emotions due to the burglary we had last Saturday and then on minerals.  I didn't even feel the exhaustion I had in the previous treatment.  When I self-test, tea and the problematic bread are no longer allergens.  I think I'll bring these items along for my next appointment to confirm it with her.

My practitioner is so nice and helpful.  I asked her almost every time for friends who had health problems and she was able to give me contacts.  It seems to be a really good network of practitioners helping each other out and monitoring the level of treatment they are providing.

That's the update for now.

Great update Koe!!! I can't wait to start my and DS's treatment. The practitioner of my choice is on holiday at the moment so we can't start this week.

BTW it is really good that they can treat you for your emotions as well!!! How does that work? I have read the book only until chapter 3 so I haven't read that bit yet.

I can't wait for you to start either!

The procedure is the same.  The vial i hold is different, not the food item.  You will know soon.  I haven't even got time to read the book because of what's just happened!  :'(

After the treatment for my emotion, i was resting for 5 mins and towards the end, happy thoughts and lovely faces came to mind!  I was having this big feeling of void after the burglary but after that treatment, it was sadness, just crying, instead of this big choked up bottled up feeling in my chest.  I guess I'm now able to let it out?   When can you start??

I see. Very interesting. I know how you feel. Its a horrible feeling to have people going through your personal space. I felt so violated when it happened to us :-( I'm happy that you are now able to let it out. I don't know when I can start as I didn't manage to speak to her. I only got the answer machine. She is back next week so I will call her then.

i think i'd better clarify something about treating the emotions.  It's not like spiritual healing, i mean NAET isn't that at all.  It's more about things surrounding us, whether food, environmental stuff and emotions that might cause our meridians to be blocked.  Say if something terrible happened whenever you're eating, say, rice, it can carry an association that causes a blockage in the meridian.  When the energy can't flow through the meridian, then the following meridian will be affected as energy doesn't go further past the blockage.  hmmm i think i am not doing a good job in explaining it.  baaaaaaah

Karen, we got broken into last sat during the day when we're out.  We're all ok, just emotionally traumatised as I, not only, feel violated but also lost something very precious that my late father gave to DS.  You can see more here

Ok last week, after the treatment, i felt fine.  No particular strange symptoms nor emotions.  But I started having some overall muscle pain and back pain just like what I was having when i was really really ill.  Because I was in general quite free of any symptoms, I was able to feel them right away and I checked my food journals and found some suspicious culprits, being some white bread and/or perhaps croissants and miso.

Told the practitioner about the muscle pain and she tested and said grains and yeast seemed to be causing the pain.  But since I was getting treated on grains, we'd just stick with the plan.  I was very allergic to grains and I needed to self-treat the next day.  So I know how to self treat :D

I ate a croissant again this morning just to see if I would get muscle pain again.  Tomorrow I will try white bread.

I think I have finally tracked down the culprit.  After the last treatment of bases, I felt very ill after eating lunch.  I assumed it's to do with the treatment as it can cause various symptoms and that's normal.  To cut a long story short, I consistently got the same symptoms the following 2 days and was feeling so ill that i needed to lay down.  I checked on my food journal and realised that i had curry powder in my lunch that hadn't been tested and i did a self test and it was allergen.  I self treated right away and could feel my symptoms slowly ebbing away.  It was a really amazing experience.  I can now say to you that I felt it working, not just some vague allergies like calcium which i couldn't put my finger on.

My self treatment, however, wasn't effective after 1 day and I accidentally ate something with some spices in it and I felt ill very soon after.  So I self treated again that night which was last night.  I think I'm very allergic to spices and I don't know what other spices I'm allergic to, so I will check with the therapist.  The allergy to spices is causing me brain fog, sinusitis, headache, muscle pain, back pain, dizziness, and muscle weakness.

My homeopath practices kinesiology, where one holds a vial against their body, and the body replies whether it is ok with that substance or not.  It is AMAZING.

I second that. Never experienced anything like it.

Hi Koe,

I’m really happy that the treatment is working for you!!! :D

I just wanted to share that I took DS for his first NAET appointment yesterday.
M is not allergic to dairy. That’s why cutting out dairy didn’t help with the eczema/NWs. We will still give him coconut/ rice milk as we think it is a healthier option anyway but at least now he can have pizza, yogurt and butter.

He was found to be allergic to vitamin C (his body wasn’t absorbing it properly), Caffeine/chocolate/carob(those are all part of the same mix and are treated together at the same appointment, Fabrics( we will have to test further on which fabrics he is allergic to), animals/dander and our dog( we took our dog’s hair to be tested).

We treated for the vitamin C on this appointment and next appointment, next Friday, we will treat for the animals/dander and our dog. I’m 100% sure that the dog is causing the eczema (or partly as it could also be the fabric allergy). After the appointment we went to the park and M was hugging a huge Labrador. At BT his arms were at its worst and his neck was also very red and itching! It all makes sense now. The reason the eczema wouldn’t go away, not even with hydrocortisone, is because we have a small dog at home.

Grants, I'm glad that they found the problems and it all makes sense!!  How was miguel at the session?  Are you the surrogate?  Was it amazing how the muscle testing went?  So excited for you!
