Know that you have done so well for you both and I kwym about those feelings. I highly recommend some skin to skin when you bottle feed her. I think I read here somewhere the term bottle nursing. I still do it with my almost two year old and it has helped so much. She still shoves her hand in the neck of my shirt so she can get that skin contact and I know it made the transition much easier.

Just remember that just because your not making her milk doesn't mean that you're not nurturing her when she gets it.

I think that it was Liz who mentioned 'bottle nursing' on my thread a while ago, actually. I have found that cuddling DD in the nursing position as I give her the bottle has helped us to maintain feeding times being a special time for us both.

This morning she didn't nurse at all do she hasn't had any BM since bedtime last night BUT she did a two hour nap this morning and has been sleep for over an hour and a half this afternoon. We haven't had a nap that long in....forever! So maybe a silver lining indeed

Yes well done Jenn, you stuck with it for so long you've done yourself and little E proud. I know it's sad at first, but that feeling will subside and you'll be left with the knowledge that you did a great thing for your little girl.

I'm keeping everything crossed that those nice long naps stick around (as well as some good overnight sleep!)

Oh - and add pretty underwired bras to the "reasons to be cheerful" list!

So I haven't indulged in anything yet as I haven't completely stopped. But I BF her at 1am as she will occasionally actually nurse in the night still. Bad idea. She was sooooo fussy, and gassy and just screaming her little head off So I guess that sort of finishes it off for me
I don't know why all of a sudden she's SO sensitive to the BM. She has always struggled but not like this At least se didn't sleep peacefully for hours and hours after or I would have felt awful

Must stock up on wine...

I don't remember if she's a reflux bub or not but if she's having a gs that may brought a trigger or she may have developed a new intolerance that you don't know about.

mmmmmmm.........wine the size of your face I think would help a lot
