oh I am the same...I tell DH I am not a pessimist but a realist!

I think play it by ear...a 30 min car nap is not the end of the world at all especially if it is a busy day xx

I agree with Becky, a car nap is fine with a busy day and do a late bedtime although it sounds like he'll be exhausted anyway!

What is a late bt then?  I think i have been missing the window and so ot takes him forever to fall asleep!

Last night we still had a night waking at 11:45, just Ot perhaps.  I just slept next to him  so that i could get some sleep.  I couldnt see the time but he was perhaps awake around 6 or even close to 6:20.  He said, it is dark!  He tried to resettle but couldnt!!!

So he slept longer and better.  Around 11h20 he slept!  I wonder if 11h20 A gave the same amount of sleep or should i keep it even shorter.

How do i fill the missing gap in a 24h day???  Nervous for the day but he will def nap, so can shift bt a bit later.

Whoops!  I will have to bug DH to get me some photos to post!  Lol

Well... We have stuffed it up :(. We just didnt want to leave the parties as we finally got to see some people and chat!  :(. Bad mama.  DS got a 30min nap but at 10A, stupid me forgot that he woke at 6 this morning!  Then i got the time wrong again, somehow one time was not on daylight saving and we got home late.  I realised that it wasnt fair for us to rush DS because he didnt make us late, we did.  He was already so tired that he couldnt operate to get dressed, etc.

Instead of rushing him more, i took the time to read him story and let him chat a bit about the day and he fell asleep very fast at 9pm.  So it is an awfully long day, 15h.  Ouch with a late CN.  I am prepared to do the night :(.

Awwww thanks!  We dont normally have such luck, but... The realist me.  You are right!  Gotta think positive!  If he does sleep till 9, daycare would complain we bring him there too late!  ::). Just cant win!

Did you update on your thread?  How is O and how are you all this weekend? Xx

Night was 9h30 and DS was tired and clingy.  No NWs, though, so cant complain.  Since he woke at 6:30, there is no way we could put him to bed before 7:30, so we are begging for OT :(.

It just seems so crazy that just over a week ago, he was taking an hour nap, asleep around 9 and sleeping 10-10.5h nights.  Now his nights are shorter.  Is that just the transition?  does OT at bt the cause of NWs?  I wonder when he would get NWs, and when just EW?  sometimes it is better with NW to restart the wu later.

I think this is all part of it...sigh... I remember with O for ages his sleep seemed down but it does even out.  I think all you can do is get him to bed as soon as and get him back to sleep at NWs as soon as.  You *can't* do any more!  ((((hugs)))) if he naps in the car keep it short.

You are such an angel!!  Wish i could phone you up for a chat!  Hugs and vibes to O!!  Xx

Managed to get him asleep at 7:35, still 13h day :(.  It is quite surprising how he didnt seem tired at all and the carer said there was not really a moment that he was dozing off.  (i doubt that she keeps such close eyes at the kids.)  it is just hard work to feed him and get him changed for bed but it is not the time to discipline.  All part of it, yeah.

Not too bad a night with 13h Day, it is a 12h night but with 2 NWs.  Both times very fast to settle but i slept there again as i needed to lay down.  It wont be a prop, it is survival lol.  I can try my best to keep bt at 7:30pm and see.  FX ;)

I am worried about earlier than 7 wake up and it is close to impossible to make it at 7.  It isnt too horrible except that i didnt get much sleep as it took me ages to fall back to sleep and not at all after 5:30!  I am recovering from some weird bug again.  It just never ends!  :(

Argh...  I was prepared to try my best to do 7pm bt and guess what?  DS wanted to nap in bed!!!  Not just resting on the couch!  Somehow i couldnt find the book and the one in charge has gone for the day, so no idea how long he slept!  I did say before that the max would be an hour but....they didnt follow everything we have spoken before!

I guess i will try for 8:30 bt, so 13h day with one hour nap.  It seems like all the efforts are out the window!  Back to sq one!
