btw love your new avatar- so sweet!
Thanks  :-* :-* :-*

Can it be a 12 h day too short for her with a 2 h nap? Don't know, I am afraid that you put her down too early with an almost 12 h night + 2 h nap (14 h of sleep in a day is a lot for her age), and she was ut then she had problems falling asleep and became OT.
I would also bring the nap a little earlier and stick with timings plus/minus 15 mins.

nap 1.45-3.15 capped (pd at 1)
bt 7.45 (pd 7)

sttn but wu this am was 5.50 :(  if shes not tacking on sleep to the night with nap capping should i let her nap as long as she wants and have longer day? wwyd today?

You know what I will say!!! That said, now that she's on the straight and narrow if your gut feeling is that capping is making her OT then try longer nap or even an earlier BT?

I would try a longer nap. 1.5 h is not much for her age. F was still sleeping 1.75-2 h at 2 yo for nap. But he was sleeping 11 h night (always slept this amount on average in the night).

I told you!!!  Silly teeth. (But still sorry things have been wonky)

I think this is one of those cases Aishi where you have to use your own judgement.  For us 1.5h nap has to be tops and has been for a while, so I personally don't think it's short for her age.  But we have always favoured a short nap/long night kind of set up.  Others might have their LO napping for 2-3h at this age, but will probably have a shorter night.

If you think she's tired and allowing a longer nap works better for her than an EBT, then go for it :). But the best ultimate advice I can give you is pick something and stick with it - don't keep chopping and changing ;)

Ugh we seem to have got into a mess again. Im giving meds at nap and bt for teeth so its not that but its gone wonky. DLS hasnt helped ::) ::)

for the last few days its taking her upto 7hr a time in am to fall asleep for nap, then i have to cap which she hates and bt is all over place. How do i get back on track? i dont think set times is working for dd...i think i need to go back to a times...

Today

10.25H night

Wu 7.15 (6.15 old time)
Nap 2.20 (pd 1.15 set time is 1) i woke at 3.50 (i know it was late)
bt 7.35 (pd 7)

looks ok on paper but how do i get some consistency? anyone else using a times ???

this is what im aiming for

Wu 7 latest
Nap 1.45/2-3.30/3.45
bt 7.30

Itll mean waking in am and capping nap so wdyt? Is it a recipe for disaster?

thanks! xx
aishi :)

I would not wake in the am and cap the nap no...remind me how old she is now?
When did you start capping at 1.5 hours and how long have you beed doing a set nap at 1pm? Do you do a set BT?

If meds are not working then I would stop as it is unlikely it is pain related....have you been using nurofen?
