With severe SA - quiet time in Zara's room is NOT restful for her iykwim.  That makes it soo hard to persevere.

But, I really really am trying.

That's great Efka!

How did Zara go this morning?

Yesterday, Isabel slept from 12.30-3.30pm at my parents so when I picked her up at 5 she was happy :D  I put her in bed just before 7pm and she slept until 7.10am today!  Yay!!!!  It was such a relief.  Hopefully it's a sign that things are starting to get better?

Today she seemed tired at around 9am - really cranky, rubbing her eyes etc.  I didn't know what to do because I don't want to get back into the morning sleep routine.  I ended up taking her to the park and for a walk in the pram so she got some quiet time.  By 11am she was completely exhausted so we came home for some lunch and I've just put her to bed now (11.40am).  I hope I've done the right thing.  She seems to have gone off to sleep really easily.

I hope you're all having a good sleep day :D

Rough morning - 4am wake, finally back to sleep at 5am, til 6:30.  But better nap today too - to sleep in under 5 minutes (well, still awake when I left but only took 5 mins of my time) and a 1 hr 15 nap (as opposed to 40 mins of the last couple days ;D

I hope you two are having a better time of it.

Since the morning DD went back to sleep at 6.30am, she has been generally good.  We had 5 monrings of bliss - wake-ups at 7 or 7.30am and we didn't know ourselves (except we kept waking at 5am).  Since last Thursday she has starting stirring again around 5 or 5.30am and letting out a little grizzle or moan and then going back to sleep.

It was interesting though - we went away for the weekend and the plane trips there are back were in the middle of the day and so she didn't get enough day sleep.  Both the night-times were not good - waking up and crying briefly in the night, and then waking at 5.30am and grizzling on and off until we got her up at 7am.

We are doing really well with a 6:30 start, the last two days ahve been later than that - but we have a late bedtime now - aiming to be asleep by 8:30!
