Nicole, I'm thinking you might need to lower her A times a bit in order to get her over the OT monster a little??

The day went ok but he is teething bad so lots of crying throughout.
im going back to work in two months. i really want him on one nap by that time. he is 10 months now so im hoping its developmentally possible. some days he can be pushed but others he can barely do 3.5 hours A time..i dont get it.

Krissy,
I don't know what your day care situation is going to be, but I've heard and seen that many LO go to 1 nap very early when they are in a daycare situation because that's how the day care tends to be set up?? A lot of daycare centers only offer 1 nap after LO transfer out of the baby room? Do you know where your LO will be going yet? Maybe you should talk to them and see.

If you can't get him onto one nap by that time I'm sure the transition will happen soon after you start and then it will just be a bumpy few weeks until he adjusts. You might have to offer a small catnap or something like that some afternoons, or he might just make the jump without a bit to-do.

Sherry I completely agree.  I think this is the reason why Abi transitioned so early.  She has not moved over from the baby room, but think it has a lot to do with stimulation etc too.

he can do about 4.5 hours A time..i have never tried for 5 yet. but he jumped so quick from 3 to 4 that i think he might be ok.i am hoping for a nap around 1230 in the long run
right now we are doing this
7amish wake
11-1230 nap
430-5 nap
8/830 sleep

Well, did you get over the 30 min naps? I thought those were still the issue, that's why I suggested cutting back the A time.

How did it end up going?

It's so hard to know what's going on. The initial thought is OT? I'm so glad you got that 8 am wake up though.

Lyle went to bed at 7:45 last night and was up for the day at 5:51   :(  Sigh.....

Could she be teething Nicole?

We have had a few NW the past few nights, so I have given some teething gel and she has generally gone back to sleep.  If she did not settle after teething gel, then I give paracetamol and she goes straight to sleep.

she's been working on a tooth for a while, but it came in about 2 days ago...here I am at 2am again!!!! this is what?.....3rd day ina row????
I have no idea waht's going on....my gut says it's NOT teething but somethign developmental, or seperation anxiety...even during the day she is always wanting to know where I am and wants to be near me...

Nicole,
I would go with your gut. But also make sure you don't think she is OT. She made a huge huge A time jump. Is she going down fine for her nap?
