Krissy how did the nap go?  Might have to move bedtime earlier so that he does not get OT.

Sherry / Nicole hows things?

Abi did great today, she woke at 630am, I was sooo not ready to get up, I gave her some teething gel and then I woke in a panick at 8am, and had to wake the rest of the house, we had all overslept  :o.

She did one nap of 2 hours and did 5 hours A time in the evening and went to bed without a peep.

5 hours A time!  Wow, we can barely manage 3!  For those of you still on 2 naps, do you limit the amount of day sleep to get longer night sleep?  We've had a total of 3 1/2 hours the last 2 days and about an 11 hour night.  Will see what tonight brings!!

The nap was around 2.25 hours. 1210ish to 230 with a 5 min wake up in between not sure what he had to do but he usually wakes up when he is UT so maybe i coulda put him down a tad later...here was today

750 wake
1210-230 nap
755ish sleep

i left my mil house at 710 to get him in bed by 730 but he fell asleep on the way home and then when i tried to tranfer him woke up..he screamed for 20 min before dropping off, i did wi/wo but he seemed like he wanted to play every time he saw me so then i just did WO ..lol he dropped off around 755 and is sleeping now.
so that was our first one nap day. not bad..but i think he still needs two naps for a bit.

i wonder what time he will wake tommorow. i would say he was a bit OT tonight..not overly but a bit. my bets are on a 630 wake up.

Hi Paula - thanks for asking :)

We seem to be doing about what Abi did for you the other day on your two nap day. For the most part we are getting two naps that are a little over an hour. And he's sleeping at least 11 hours at night, for the last week at least, so hopefully that will continue. I was a little bummed this morning when he woke at 6:15 as the two days before he woke at closer to 7. He was trying so hard to go back to sleep, but I guess he just couldn't, but he was cheerful all day.
Sometimes I only get a catnap in the afternoon. We were out yesterday, and that might have something to do with the earlier wake up this morning.

How did you get Abi back to sleep this morning :)

Oh, Nicole, I wanted to ask you, when she wakes during her nap are you having to help her back to sleep? If so how are you managing that. If Lyle wakes before the hour is up I can usually get him back down, but on our 1 nap days last week he was waking at 1h15 most of the time.

I updated my other thread....erika screamed from 7:30-9pm again last night! sigh.....not sure if it's OT or b/c of the 2 naps!

Paula, Lewis was born on 15th oct.  Can't believe we'll be celebrating his 1st birthday soon.  Wow, that's great about Abi's A time and sleep.  What a star. I cant believe you had a long lie till 8am. I'm so jealous ;)

Krissy, that looks like a good day. I hope you get a long lie too.

Well, past couple of days for us haven't been great. We've had workmen in, so its upset our days a bit. Hopefully will be better tomorrow.  He had a morning nap of 30 mins after 4 1/2 hrs A time. I then put him down after 3 hrs A time in pm but he only slept for 50 mins. Maybe I should have kept him up longer. I tried putting him down around 6ish this evening but he didn't fall asleep until after 630.  Wonder if we'll get an early wake tomorrow morn.  The past couple of days he has woke slightly earlier, 605am this morn and 610am day before. he usually wakes 630 so not too bad.

Hopefully he'll have a good night tonight.  Hope you all have good evenings :)

Sharon, I hope you have a good wake up. We also had a 6:00 wake up this morning.

Nicole - how much daytime sleep did she end up having yesterday. Was the last A time 5 hours? I'll go check the other thread too.

Sherry, I am pleased that Lyle is doing 2 naps for you.  Sorry about the EW  :-*  RE:  getting her back to sleep, I just went in, gave her some teething gel, laid her down, and just went back to sleep.  She was still tired, I could see it, and cause her room is so dark with the black out blinds she went straight back to sleep.

Sharon, sorry about the EW, hopefully once things settle down at home, things will get better.  I know I cannot believe our lo's will be 1 soon.  Time has gone so quickly.

Hugs Nicole, perhaps after such a long nap she was not tired enough at bedtime?

Paula...I would think that also..BUT remember last week when she took that 2.5hr nap from 3:00-5:30pm and then dh put her to bed at 8pm and she was asleep by 8:30pm with NO crying! SO...maybe she really does need a short A time before bed???????

it was a pretty good day i guess for our first one nap day ..not bad...
AND he woke at 715 this morning, not 630 as i thought..he woke for a chat at 610 but then went back down till 715
first nap was 1125-1230 i woke him
second one was only 425-5ish he woke crying though..not sure why but sounded like painful teeth

thats only 1.5 hours day sleep..but i think it has something to do with the long night he had...12.5 hours total as usual....

Krissy...that's a great wakeup time!! YAY!

Paula....I know..it's just so hard to figure out...I was thinking the same thing...maybe 3hrs is too much but then since she had only had 10hrs the night before I thought maybe it was just compounded OTness....who knows!
i'm going to give her a short nap from 3:30-4pm tonight and into bed at 6:30pm and see what happens!

we had a 520 am wake up yesterday morn :( but he then went back to sleep until 0750 ;D. I cant remember the last time he slept till that time.

Yesterdays naps werent great either. He had 45 mins in the am and then an hour at 4pm till 5pm.  I made bedtime 730pm since he had a late nap.  He then woke at 850pm really restless and thrashing about.  must have been ot.  But he slep till his normal time this morn 0615am.

Every day seems to be different even when I try to stick to same A times. He has started sleeping in his pram too. He wouldn't nap in his pram before???  The lo's really keep you on your toes don't they ;)

I was tempted to try cold turkey and give one nap but I'm too chicken :P
