Nicole, sounds like things are perfect.

Sherry, if he is constantly waking at the 1 hour 15 mark, have you thought about trying W2S to see if it helps any?

Krissy fantastic news on the nap.  Let us know how it goes.  Sounds like he did really well with the extended A time.

oh boy...:(
lots of crying at bedtime tonight..and that is strange because he NEVER cries at bedtime, never ever..he did the exact same thing on the last one nap day..he didnt fall asleep till close to 8! almost 6 hours A time..EW tommorow for sure...
but i dont know what the crying was about..it has to be related to OT ..he did fall into a deep sleep around 530ish in the car..he didnt even wake when i took the straps off him, he didnt wake till i picked him  up..maybe he was tired then? i dont get it..that would only be around 3.5 hours A time..maybe cause of the long morning?
if we are going to have crying like that every one nap day i might hope for two naps all the time..he was not a happy camper tonight!

Krissy....so what time did you put him to bed?
my guess is if you hadn't been in the car, you could have put him to bed right at 6pm (in room feeding at 5:45/50pm) and he probably would have just passed out and gone to sleep. don't give up. Sometimes even half an hour makes a HUGE difference!

I pu thim down at 7. AT 630ish he was still playing and everything looked great so i figured maybe he is not tired and if i put him down maybe he is just gonna scream anyway..
he got up at 725 this morning, he slept about 11.5 hours last night.
today im hoping for two naps. i hope his long night doesnt mean he is gonna extend himself past noon again..we have someone watching him tonight and i really want a smooth night..

Krissy, when did he fall asleep in the car? The day before on a two nap day?

I had a day almost identical to that last week. I think he just wasn't tired enough to go to bed after that little catnap. Our little cat nap was 5:15 I think though, and he still wasn't ready to go down.

Well we just had another 40 min AM nap. Yesterday he could only handle 2.5 hours of A time after such a lousy nap. I have no idea what to do. He woke up at 9:45.
Today is a crap day.

I've just done my first one day nap and it seemed to go quite well but we'll see what the morning brings!  He's been waking up really early again, like 5am and this morning I had a NW from 410am until 530am and he went back to sleep until 640am.  I decided to try a one nap day as he'd got up at a decent time as don't know how I'd possibly do it when he's up at 5am.  So the day went like this:

640am - Awake
1055am - Nap, straight to sleep without a sound!
105pm - Awake so had a 2.10 hour nap
6pm- Bed, again went down without a sound and straight to sleep.

Got to try something to try and get him to sleep later in the mornings as nothing else has worked!

:o Wow that was a long A time in the afternoon, did he cope ok with it?  Fingers crossed for a good night and a later wake up.  Would work great if you could try and get him to wake at around 7:30ish, that way he could probably go until 12 and hopefully take a 2 hour nap and then in bed by 6:30 ish

Good luck, let u know how your night goes.

AmyEthan....that sounds great! He may surprise you and sleep til 6:30 or 7am tomorrow even though he went to bed at 6. Erika has REALLY surprised me with this one nap thing...it's the FIRST time in her 10.5mo's of life she's been consistent with anything! we get 12.5-13.5hrs at night and a 1.5-2.25hr nap:) I hope it works out for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not good!  He woke up at 430am and wouldn't go back to sleep!  Luckily my Mum had Amy so I got to go back to bed when he did at 730am for an hour and a half.  Looks like he's not quite ready for one nap but would love him to go down to one nap as it will free up my mornings.  Oh well, at least I got to try when Amy wasn't around.  Think I might have to push for a later bedtime and see how that goes and have shorter nights for a while until he's ready to go down to one nap.  Fun and games!!
