i put him down at 1230, i think i waited too long..he was falling asleep in my arms as i was putting him down. he woke 30 min later screaming and i had to pat his back to get him back to sleep. he is asleep now again for 20 min now..im thinking maybe i should have gotten him up when he woke at 1 and put him down again around 330..

I would probably aim for bedtime to be between 3.5- 4 hours after waking - what do you think?

Krissy...I have to give Erika atleast 5hrs before Bed....morning A time can be anywhere from 3.5-5hrs with no fuss...but If I try to put her down before 5hrs for bedtime...it doesn't work. just a thought.
so speaking of that....
tonight was the first time Erika fussed at bedtime and sat up as soon as I put her in her crib!! YIKES...i'm getting nervous...she had 5hrs A time ....??? slept 12-2...I don't get it???
She MIGHT be teethign...but otherwise, I have not idea...it's now 7:30 and she's still in there making noise????
I hope this whole perfect situation isnt wearing off and she's going to be a nightmare again?? I can't make her day time sleep any longer....
HOWEVER, yesterday and today..she was showign tired/fussy signs around 5-5:30pm...but what am I to do???? I can't exactly put her to bed then??
IDEAS??? HELP????

Hugs Nicole, I am not sure what to suggest.  Abi has had a fussy period since transitioning and we have been having some EW too.  Hers is definitely teething, so perhaps that could be the reason she has been fussy?

Krissy, sounds exactly like Abi over the past few days.  When she wakes I go in and give her some teething gel, and then leave and she goes straight back to sleep.  If she wakes again and does not settle I give pain meds.  This worked fantastically last night and she slept until 7:30 this morning.

but i dont know if pain is what is waking him..i am hesitant to always give meds. i didnt last night  cause he looked happy as soon as he saw me, i just patted him back to sleep and he slept till 7. today he napped 11-1210 and now he is napping again but i pu thim down around 350 and he screamed again, so i patted him to sleep ..its been about 50 min so far. im gonna let him sleep and put him to bed at 830 , our usual bedtime..lately its been earlier.

Hi ladies, just marking my spot as we are going through the transition too and just want to see how everyone is doing it. :) :)  But she still needs two naps as she gets OT pretty easily.  Today I reduced her first nap by 10 minutes but put her down too late for the 2nd one and she had a 30 minute OT nap.  Very OT at bedtime.

Welcome Angela  :-*

Angela, Nicole was going through exactly the same thing as you with Z and since she has put Erika on 1 nap she has not looked back.  Have heard that sometimes spirited lo's do move to 1 nap earlier.

Krissy too much sleep could definitley be causing the night wakings.

Yay Nicole, I am pleased that the meds helped Erika settle better for you.  We have been having a few teething wake ups but she settles pretty easily with teething gel / pain meds.  Last night we only had one, so things are getting beter.

Sherry, how ya doin hun?
