FWIW with my low sleep needs DS he generally wakes around 6-6.15am and does nap at 12.45/1pm.  Lucy you know why we've gone later and it has helped.

So I'm saying around 6.5hrs A time here.

Lucy, what is her normal bedtime?  We have found that when my LO refuses a nap and we are able to squeeze a cat nap in, we still aim for the normal bedtime.  Sometimes that is only 1.5 hour after the nap.  But he is so tired from not sleeping all day that he goes to sleep and has a normal night.

Yep!!!  If not even a wee bit earlier as she is probably still a bit wired!

I would've said "normal" bed - it's more inbuilt in her bodyclock.  Sorry you have had a rough day.  Hope she gives you a good night. x

So bang-on 10.5h nightsleep...I have always had a hard time with this one, the 10.5 as I've never known if it is UT or OT.  With D I think I would normally assume it was just all that she needed but if she had only 30 minutes nap and so late in the day then I just can't see how it could be anything other than OT.....and that again teeth played a factor? That if she wasn't teething, she may have rolled over and gone back to sleep perhaps?  Hard to say, really.

I realise it's 1200 now so you've made a nap decison, but I would be inclined to try to hold her off until 1130,based on what happened yesterday, give something for teeth and see if it's any better than yesterday's nap.

Let us know how the afternoon goes xxxx

im sure you are right. There is no way she cant be OT after yesterday.

By 11.10 she was really crying asking for her bed and she slept 1hr 25 mins so pretty good for D.im reluctant to do bedtime any earlier than 7pm cos it will not help our night.

Teeth are playing a big part in this i think.she is hardly eating now which is so unlike her.

((hugs)) Lucy.

We are right here with you ATM. J cried out at 4.30am, dozed back off and then woke completely at 5.30am. But I had 2 random NWs as well (that took 13 seconds to resettle - what is the deal with these?!!). So we got essentially 10.5hrs sleep as well  ???.

We did get a horrid run of EWs with teeth though.
