Well he's not ill in himslef just got a massive gland up ::)

Anyway, he's been sleeping through a much longer stretch on the no nap but after about 9.5hrs he thinks he's done ::)  I guess cos he's not used to sleeping that long a stretch so much anymore perhaps either that or he's just OT and can't get back to sleep :-\  Thoughts anyone?  He's still got that last molar to cut, can't believe these teeth are tking so damn long.

so hard to say isn't it...could def be the teeth and 9.5 hours does sound OT to me but if he is ill that could be affecting it too...what is his normal wake up and bedtime now with no nap?

Well with no nap I'm aiming for bedtime asleep by 6.30pm as during the week we have to be up at 6.15am (latest!) and our alarm usually wakes him if he's still asleep.

Yesterday though it took him till 7pm to fall asleep and that is probably just due to spending the day at the hospital being poked and prodded and having bloods done, I guess that was no surprise really.  He woke though sometime between 4.30am and 5am not exactly sure but this has been the pattern for the last couple of days although he's been falling asleep straight away normally
So I guess
asleep 6.30pm
wake 4.30am - and then he thinks it's time to get up!

I'm not necessarily expecting 12hrs but somewhere around 11.5hrs I think is probably realistic - so 6.30pm asleep 6am wake - what do you think?

Should've asked whether I should do a nap in the interim?  He was *so* grumpy this morning as I dfon't know if he went back to sleep...

If you did a slightly earlier BT Laura (say 6/6.15pm), would he wake up even earlier?

As he had a day of it y'day at the hospital, then if I were you I'd probably consider a nap today, just to get him back on track a bit & keep OT at bay. Also he went to sleep later & (worse case scenario has been awake since 4.30/5am).

I guess you haven't ruled out the possibility of his leg/hip bothering him & causing him to wake?

I would be happy to do bed at 6pm as I don't think it's wake any earlier and he's always preferred an earlier bedtime but during the week DH isn't home till 6 so it's a push - at the weekend it's easier.

Maybe I will make him nap today - he's already told me he doesn't want one though!

Haven't ruled out that no, or now the fact he has a gland the size of a ball in the side of his neck! ::)

Poor thing, that's all he needs  :P!

I'd try for a nap.....could you APOP one if necessary? Maybe try an earlier BT over the weekend to see if that helps.

My gut is unfortunately telling me a short nap. The poor guy has a lot going on :( Even a 20 min power nap could do him wonders. More hugs and get better vibes
