Ok so yesterday I was able to get them down for a second nap after 3.5 a time and they slept about 50mins - I know I probably should've woken them ::)
J asleep by 6.45pm
woke around 1am and very unsettled.  Not crying but faffing and tossing and turning (getting worried as this is what O used to do for hours on end...) I finally fed him at 2am and gave him some calpol he slept till 6.30am

H asleep 7.10pm
woke at 4.15am - fed and back to sleep woke at 5.45am

TODAY
nap 9.40 H slept 1hr 15mins, J woke after 50mins but went back to sleep with some apop for another 40mins

then H fell asleep in the car after an a time of 2.5hrs ::) he slept 50mins
J fell asleep 10 mins later (he obviously got up later so still about 2.5hrs a) and slept 30mins.
So both boys have been awake since 2.15pm

H is a grouch and has been all day, I think he's suffering in the heat but he's also cutting a tooth.

So will be interesting to see what happens tonight.  They can't go down earlier cos DH is at work.

Laura that looks ok. Fx for tonight Hun.
Does sound like teeth may be causing some of the sleep disruptions :-\

So both boys slept about 11hrs with a feed. They may not have woken but I fed cos it was so hot. What was nice though is that j went straight back to sleep he was tired when I fed him rather than tossing and turning of course it could be to do with the food now. We'll see.

Dh got them today. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Got 2nd nap refusal again today eventually had catnap at 4.10. The buggy didn't even work!

Tomorrow should I push them to try and get an 11am nap from them and feed before?

Think we were posting at the same time!
I wonder if after a great night you could push for one nap at 11 but after a crappy night go for two... That is what we did for a bit. So yes, in hindsight after such a good night last night maybe could have pushed them to 11am one long nap today...

Was in the same place a couple months ago - the carrying on even when I tried to ap her was horrid. I would try pushing to one nap after a good night too. Sucks but in the long run might make it easier to just deal with one nap.

Well our night so far has been pretty awful and it's only 1.30am! I wouldn't normally feed either of the boys before 3 but j just wouldn't settle. I thought maybe he was thirsty but I suspect it's that v late catnap they had. So he's been fed! Let's hope he'll not be awake from 5! I guess though I could do one nap regardless cos dh off so can do early bed.

Honey hat I did was made myself rules. It was the only way I could get through this business. 8-10 mths is hideous anyway so I suspect some of this is developmental, teething and a SR.

Anywho, my rules. Mine were like this
If Z/T woke before 6.30 and hadn't had a 11.5/12 hr night then I did a nap and CN i.e.
wu 6
nap 10.30-12
cn 4-4.30 (20-30 mins)
bt 7
If they woke after 6.30 and had a reasonable nap that ended after 12.30 i did EBt and 1 nap da i.e.
WU 6.45
nap 11.15-12.45
bt 6
I also made the rule if they slept past 1pm then it was a 1 nap day with EBT even if the nap was say 1.5 hrs. I also APOPed all naps (if and when I could) under 1.5 to encourage the longer nap.
All EW were treated as NW before 6m.

((HUGS)) on the rough night so far x

That makes sense. I'd do from a 6am wake up though as 6.30 is so uunlikely in this house. The night ended up ok although I'd fed j at 1.30 he slept till 6.15. H was fed at 3.45 then woken by j at 6.15. So I'm going to try one nap I'll feed before and see what happens!

Good luck Hun. The 2-1 is a mess early on. But once I found what 'worked' for my boys EBT wise and CN length or when to do 1/2 naps etc (with my little rules ;) ) it did become much easier :-*

So I put them down about 10.50am so that was about 4.5hrs A they slept 1.5hrs which is good - Well J woke after 35mins but a quick pupd and back to sleep H woke J at the 1.5hr mark...

Do you think if I push a bit harder they may do the magic 2hr nap?!  We're going out in the car later so they may have 10mins then but it probably won't be much longer.
