Do they still have pacis? :-\ if so does a replug ever do the trick?

During st (if you decide to drop the holding to sleep which tbh I also did at that age quite a bit with T) can you separate them so they don't wake each other?

For us, splitting them really helped. We could work on one without fear of waking the other up.

A replug will work on j before midnight and will work on h sometimes if disturbed by j and I happen to be there to put it in super quick!

However both boys will often go to sleep without a dummy.

Ok so my aim is to get them self settling with no holding at the beginning of night and naps. I just did first nap. Both boys together. I can reach them both together cos of the way the cots are. So I stroked j's back (my boys tummy sleep too) and held a hand on h's head. J was crying more. I whacked up their white noise and both boys settled quite quickly after that. I think I'm just going to try and do both boys together. I figure if they wake the other I'll have to settle that one too but hopefully they'll just get used to hearing each other. Night times will have to be done at wkends though cos of o. What do you think or am I completely mad? Also I figure if they start to be able to do it to begin with they hopefully will follow quite quickly with the in between wakes iyswim

Well j woke after 40mins but I've just got him up as I want a longer pm nap anyway. He was ut anyway as he woke later than h.  He is definitely going to be the harder one to crack which is so odd cos when he was little he was always the better sleeper!

So I'll get h up about 10am then aim for 1pm nap? Well I'll put down at 1 and I'm guessing it'll take a while to settle.

J went to sleep within about 10secs!
Put h down he moaned and cried a little prob about 5mins then asleep and didn't wake j !

I think the watering down of the bottle is workin for h too as he didn't take much this morning. I'll just need lots of luck for if they wake during their nap cos they nearly always wake the other unless I silence them pdq.

Waiting to hear how the second nap has gone... We are five hours behind you so mine are down in their first nap!
I'm loving your plan of keeping them together and settling them in cribs with hands on them and shushing.... And pick up if you need to. That is what I did... Literally just went from one to the other if they were both crying... Kept myself calm and let them know that they were going to be asleep soon.. Lucky them!
And you're using pacis for quick replugs where you can.
So interested to see how your night goes too.... This time next week I can only imagine the progress you will have made for them

So j woke as predicted after 40mins. He struggles more than h to replug. Less dexterity atm. I just rubbed his back etc I heard h stirring but he just replugged and stayed asleep. After 20mins of me stroking and j whinging and thrashing he went back to sleep BUT just as I was writing that he woke again! That was after 10mins. Have repeated stroking etc and he's gone quiet. Will see how long it lasts!

Ok so I WOKE both boys at 3pm! Which meant h slept 2hrs and j 2hrs 10mins minus the 20mins resettling time!
