Yes you have always maintained that. How can you try it out?? Push the am activity time 15 mins a day or something until it's closer to 11.00?? Then nap them for what 2-3 hours... Is that what you're thinking?

They won't nap that long. I'd be lucky to get 2hrs I think. They have done longer naps before so they can I guess. I may try after half term taking them to a group with my friend and see if it tires them out enough to sleep longer.

Yeah that sounds like a good plan.... At least you'll know then! Hopefully it's the key to better nights for you...

You know E had her best night after a crap nap day and us going to a friends for a bbq, so loads of kids and excitement, so the group might do the trick. If only I could replicate that day every day! Apparently she is an extrovert

Around this age both my boys started to need to get out and be worn out to sleep soundly for naps and nights so worth a shot!

What is wrong with these boys?! J seems incapable of napping for any length of time any more. Just woken up at 45mins, not crying but ready to get up - he had a 4.5hr A time this morning. I'm so done with napping!!

Ugh Laura...sounds like the no mans land of the 2-1 really! Do you think 2 short naps would work for them until they can handle enough A to go to one nap?

I don't know. I mean they seem ok. It's not so bad when dh here as they can go to bed earlier. It's just hard when he's at work. Should I try a 5hrs a time if our night is about 11.5-12hrs? I mean not sttn but in total? I just think it's a lot yk but equally I need them to nap for my sanity!

Well if you try it for a couple of days and it doesnt work you can always drop back. If they would do a 2 hr nap after a 5 hr A and be able to do a 5 hr A after a 2 hr nap then that would get a 12 hr day. Are they crawling? That also helped wear E out as she could finally burn some energy!

Maybe today was partly due to hunger? They had milk at 7am bfast around 8.30 then nothing till they woke. Due you think I should add in milk before nap which started just after 11am today.
No not crawling. Although h trying hard. That's what I was thinking if I could get the 2hr nap and they have done it previously.
