Thanks for reply Katherine. How is your new baby?

I've tried both double diaper and bigger size but it all comes out the sides no matter what.!so I put on a tighter pajama shorts to at least keep it contained. Today I tried resettling but she didn't poop I think maybe because I was there, but she did have a bowel movement soon after I got her up.

I will give it  some more  time . Wondering if you know someone it didn't work for and why.

Agree with Katherine, I was going to also say while the naps aren't massive they also aren't hideous ;)
Are you keeping her in her room in the dark till desired WU time - resting, snuggling with you if need be or leave her in there if not crying

Thank you Sara

Yes she stays in her room till 6am or till at least 12:30 PM. She usually doesn't cry just whines on and off but this morning was borderline crying. I tried rubbing her face but she would push my hand away or play with it. Then I tried cuddling her in a chair but she got very upset and wanted to get up so I put her back in the crib and she started crying.
I think it's better that I don't come in at all unless she is crying cause she just expects for me to get her up.

Today she napped for only 1hr25m :(

Yes hang in there. Personally if you think apoping back to sleep will work you can try that too if you get a bad nap

Oh my, DD is up at 4am today and I couldn't resettle. I stayed in her room with her till 6  and tried rubbing her again or the mattress but she would push my hand away or play with it,and she was very frustrated. How in a world she is going to last till 10:45am!?

Should I be adjusting something maybe? Maybe the times I picked are inappropriate for her?

Hi AMJ

I feel your pain. My lo has been waking around 4.30 for the past 2 weeks. Hers has started since she has been cutting a molar, plus I'm also wondering if it's developmental stuff which is part of the problem.

Do you think this could be the same for yours? How old is she now? K is 14.5 months and I hear it can be a bit of a rough age for sleep... Although we've had so many of them in the past yr they all seem to roll into one  ;)
If you gave her 20mins this morning would she go down this afternoon do you think?
Lauren

Sorry to hear it Lauren. For us it seems the same the sleep problems just don't stop.

It's a big risk to give her a short am and long PM because she might just not take the second one.
I was just wondering if I should bring the time of her nap earlier to give her a chance to have a longer nap and then be left with a longer evening A.

We will be going back to Canada for the summer in 2 weeks so we will have to reset the set times anyways but for now I was thinking maybe give her a nap at 10/10:30am and then BT at 6 and maybe that would help with her nap? What do you think ladies? At this point I don't care about moving her day forward by much because of the coming up trip, I just wish to set an appropriate times.

I also think to give her a BT at. 9pm once we are back to Canada and then hopefully the WU is going to be at 8, or 7 the earliest.

P.S. She is 14 months now. She is teething (3molars are coming in) but she doesn't seem in pain. I give her meds before the nap though.

Yeeeey we had a great nap,3hrs long!!!!!
I usually have her in a crib at 10:30 so she is asleep by 10:45, today for the first time I had her in a crib at 10:15 (wich is technically a first time i'm giving her a nap early) and she fel asleep in 5m and slept till 1:30!!!!! I guess I should've started right away with 11am nap not 10:45 but it's ok.

I guess I will stick with 10:45 and 10:30 am nap and 6 and 6:30.

So do you think I should give her. 6:30 BT today or I should stick with 6 ?

Also what WU would you consider early? Obviously 4am like today but if she is asleep at 6pm then anything before 5am and if asleep at 6:30 then anything before 5:30am? Just so I know when it's ok to give her nap 15m early

Thanks

I'd agree with those times AMJ. An 11 hour night is brilliant so I don't think you could expect any longer a night than that. I think any less than 10.5 is classed as an EW.

That was a fab nap!!!! For me id go for 6pm BT just because that's a 14hr day but obviously that would mean an earlier wu but then again you may still get that anyway...!
