Fingers crossed for you.  I know J is younger but the day she crashed and did similar, BT and WU were still ok.  Hope it's the same for you x

I usually do a 30 min later bt when he naps so late. But it depends how tired he is. Thinking of you. How did it go?

I hate those car naps!  Could be 10 when DS fell back to sleep afterwards.  Fx

Oh well, here's hoping you get an ok WU time even if the night is short.  Might be the big nudge his body clock needs x

If it was me I'd push it and wait for the crash but others here have advised to hold firm as it can take a few weeks. When I needed to shift DS 1 hr I put him to bed 2 hrs later than usual until the late morning happened then waited a day or two and slowly brought BT earlier to the desired BT. I moved his BT by 30 mins each night to reach the 2hrs but he was younger I think if I needed to do it now I'd go a full hr in one go.
Sorry for seeming to give conflicting advice, we've all had different experiences I suppose... I haven't had a 4yo yet ;)

I wouldn't. I'd just hold firm.

Still not sure why you say his body clock isn't shifting  :-\. It is. It wasn't 5am anymore. The night was short because he robbed his sleep with a late nap. That is just what happens.

Plus he may never wake beyond early-ish because he is programmed for that time of day.

Doesn't he start school in a week?? I wouldn't go pushing super hard now for that reason alone. If anything you may be pulling back to 7pm bedtimes then anyway as he may need more sleep.

I'd agree, treat yesterday as a one-off and bear in mind he may be unsettled with the start of school.
