I've tried that I put stuff away and stay in his room sit in the chair but he just stands in the crib talking to me lol he won't lay down. I managed to then leave the room keeping his door open and he just started calling for me then started crying. I def think it's game now. He gets all wild and hyper when I finally take him out like he won lol!  I think I'm doomed. I'm not sure what else to do but its so stressful everyday with the crying. He's already moving around at 6 am today so I won't have to wake him. He's only slept 11.5 hours with no nap which is crazy. Maybe he'll be tired at nap today. Last night he kept getting hurt walking into things he was so tired.

Am I going back in too soon. I usually wait a minute or two when he's crying to see if he might settle. I feel like he never actually calms down and falls asleep it's rare that he does so pretty much every time he cries and i go back in in a minute just seems to not be helpful in making a nap happen lol. I feel like I'm going crazy! He didn't nap yesterday and was up today at 6 shouldn't he be tired for a nap at 130? If he's not I think he's maybe just ready to drop no?

And he's asleep at 130!!! It's been 7.5 hours though A time which on a normal day when he doesn't wake at 6 am I don't think a 7.5 hr A time is going to work. Should I wake him at normal time 230 which is just a 1 hour nap and to bedtime normal at 8? He has been up since 6!

Glad you got a nap!  I think I'd allow a bit longer than an hour, perhaps to 3pm?  That still leave a pretty long A and lots of total A time before bed.

Lol! The crazy things we think of! What are my other options though if it seems like he needs such a long Morning A time out of nowhere ? I'm excited about today that his dad will actually get to spend time with him and we can take him out for ice cream or to the playground instead of getting ready for bed at 6 pm! Ha

But if he's normally up at 7am would I do a 2pm nap? Won't that push bedtime kind of late? Is a later nap typical before giving it up?

I guess it depends what you want in the long run - a kid used to rising at 6 am or temporarily pushing the nap and bedtime back (possibly a capped nap at 2 pm so bedtime doesn't run too late) so mornings aren't super early! I am not a morning person so I preserve a later wake up at all costs ;)

I also prefer a wake up time closer to 7 lol which means I probably could put him down for nap at 2 for an hour until 3 and maybe keep 8 bedtime? Yesterday he was up at 6 ( which is early for him but after goin to bed at 630 wasn't surprising ) then he napped from 135-315 ( I had to wake him) went into crib a little before 8 but wasn't asleep until 830 but didn't fuss just took him a bit of rolling around. Today I'll wake him at 7 possibly and see if he'll nap at 2-3 then try bedtime at 8. Do you think that might work? 7 hrs Morning A and 5 before bed?

I've gotten him to nap the past two days! Not that it was easy lol. He still cried when he went down and I didn't go right back in I waited about 2 mins then it became more of a complaining then calling me then he would try to get settled then cry again and call me for another min but 15 mins later he was asleep. So both days he slept from about 135-310 then into crib with no problem at bed at 8 took him 30 mins to fall asleep but that's typical for him whenever he goes to bed that late for some reason. He was up at 7 today just laid in crib for a bit before sitting up and calling me. Fingers crossed that we are back on track just a later day. Thanks again for all of your advice and tips (as always)!

Couldn't get him down for a nap today even though he took a nap the past two days!  This afternoon is been tough he's tripping falling crying cranky it's awful !  He was up today at 7:30 I'm guessing bedtime will be 630   At what point do they just handle no nap and can manage a longer night ?

It is different for every child...I wonder if a couple of nnd's followed by a couple of nap days is just what he needs right now while going through the process? He sounds like he caught up on sleep and now needs a bit less until it hits him again and he needs a nap.

No nap again today.  But when will he be able to handle the night better without falling getting her having tantrums and going to bed by 630
