Thank you everyone you are helping so much.

I didn't sleep well, but Benji did: 7.19-4.25, then woke but slept on after resettling til 6.20.

So we will see if he is beside himself again this afternoon :((

Thank you Naomi and everybody for the vibes.

I'm totally needing the vibes.

Can't report my Eas now as have to get on with the day.

But 3 days in to 45min nap schedule and bt creeping kater, nws more numerous and wu 5.44 a 10.5 hr night :((.

Do I really just keep going even if it deteriorates?

What I Jean is, keep on the schedule for a week but what then?!

You know the drill, stick with it for a week and see if it comes good, you know he takes usually 2 weeks at least to stabilise on any routine, so give him that time. Then if things are still not right, at least you have some data to work with to make a change. It might be to keep nap length and BT the same but push nap later, it might be to cap nap further, it might be to drop the nap. These are all possibilities but you might also find he settles into that routine and you can leave it as is.

Hugs xx

Thank you Bec.

You know I'm always projecting into the future, and scared about ot getting unmanageable. What if his nights get shorter and more broken etc.? He gets harder to handle and I get even more tired and struggle to see things clearly, and get more obsessive.

If he does two short nights in a row, I want to change things but I'm scared to do so because I don't know what those changes are.

Reading others' threads I see how hard the 1-0 is to manage with ot causing short broken nights and after 4nws last plus an ew I just think this routine is wrong. Argh.

Will post eas xxx

Hugs hun this routine *may* be wrong, but you won't know until you've stuck it out for a bit longer.  Sometimes you need to go through the point of OT to be able to reset his body clock and allow him to sleep better again.  Yes the 1-0 can be hard to manage but you and he will get through it.  Holding your hand x

I used to be really scared of OT as well. But now I have learnt that me being scared is the worst thing ever. Cos it then gets DS into an OT that is bad enough to be horrible but not OT enough to crash and sleep. So really, the best situation is either not OT or totally annihilation type of OT which will get him to finally sleep and reset.

So yes, the worst is when the OT is neither here nor there, and he is just constantly on the edge. Just break him, I say :) As such, I am a fan of resetting DS now and then when it gets unmanageable.

I agree with the others about sticking it out and seeing if DS surprises you and comes out the other side. Bec is absolutely right, we can think about the what if, and what next when we see what the next few days bring.

Here holding your hand xxx

Day 6 on the 45 min nap and he's just done a 10hr night.

Bt 7.30 from 6.30 pd, nw at 3.30 then 5.15 and dozed but awake and ready for the day at 5.45am.

To me this means so sthing is wrong. But I don't know what which is always my point. All you ladies always seem to know what it means.

He's had 10hr45 sleep total. Not good. Another night like this and what is my next move to stop him getting too ot if there's no way of knowing why he's doing short nights, yk?

He could be ot or ut. I have no idea what it means.

I don't want to start the day. I work so hard and then it all goes wrong.
