I struggled to get dd to take CN yesterday too her easy was

Wu6.35
Nap 11.05-1.45
CN 4.35-55
BT 7.10

BT is becoming a battle too. Ideally I'd like to keep to a 12hr day with CN cos she sleeps better in the night..Dyt a 10-15 min CN would be too short? She did sttn till 6.45 although I heard her around 6ish...

No I think a CN that short would be fine given how close you are to one nap :) it may just take the edge off her tiredness to get her to bedtime.  Are you trying for the CN every day?  I think your LO must be higher sleep needs than J is but so hard to know isn't it?  Yesterday J did

WU 6.10
Nap 11.20-13.55 (resettle at 33mins)
BT 18.30, asleep 18.40 after chatting/humming to herself
STTN until 6.40am and woke up chatting

I think that was the longest nap she's ever taken in her life (except the newborn days)!!

Lol she'll get there! It is hard work in meantime tho...

Am trying for cn if she wakes before 2pm cos she can only handle 4h a to BT so that's most days ATM!

So I think dd may have been UT for her naps at 4h.30. We dropped from (4h45/50) about two weeks ago cos she had gotten ot.?Yesterday's nap was 1h25 on 4h25 min at ::) and today's was 1h50 at 4h35min am at so she woke at 12.55 but i shushed over monitor and she's still asleep at 1.40.

So does this sound like she could be UT?? At least I don't have to go for a CN today TG! Just EBT! Yay.

Hope ur all doing ok? xx

Glad you got a better nap Aishi :) :)

Straffles - how are you?  Really hoping the fact you haven't been on for a couple of days means things have been ok?

I think we're on the downslope of our sleep 'cycle' - basically we get a good day, not so good day, bad day, crash day with long nap, repeat!  At least so far it hasn't continued into disaster, though I do keep wondering if it will...

Hi and htanks Jessmum.

Yes, it's been tough here. Lots of broken naps, teething, having to re-settle naps twice etc. Then broken nights with early night wakings. But then, last night, he managed only one NW, which was his normal thing before the 2 to 1.

Today, disaster. 1HR 25 nap and I couldn't re-settle. Nap ended at 12.30, bf in his room but got him up crying at 12.51. He hasn't taken a CN for 6 weeks or more. He is really cranky and fussy.

Will try for a CN but when? Am thinking possibly 3.5 hours after I got him up, so 4.20pm. If he doesn't take it we will try for 5.50pm BT if at all possible.

Tbh, I'm terrified. He has NEVER had a day on a nap this length with this long a time to BT. But also, why did he wake at 1HR 25? Is he UT and asking for more am AT? What do I do now girls, seriously? Even on a 2.5 hour nap and more than 4.5 hours to BT he can wake more than twice before 9pm and then scream for an hour, as you know.

I just saw Aishi's comment that you had a 1HR 25nap and thought it cd be UT.

How did LO wake from that nap?

I find it impossible to tell these days cos Benji doesn't ever wake happy even from a 2.5HR plus nap. Always moaning you know? So maybe he needs a stretch?

Fxed for this CN. Btu then I have no idea how long to BT if he DOES take it. Hold my hand, please

Good luck Straffles - how did you go?  I can't imagine a 1h25 nap was UT really ??? Not at this stage in the 2-1.

If it makes you feel any better J did 1h25 yesterday too, woke at 12.50, no CN, asleep 17.45 and up at 5.40 this morning :(. So a good night but far too early to start the day :( :(. EBT is starting to fail me!  Though I guess it wasn't really EBT as it was a full A time....ick.  Have WIWO once and desperately hoping by some miracle she'll go back to sleep, but can't see it happening!

Well he refused the CN too Jessmum.

Heading for 6pm bedtime.

He will have been up for over 5 hours. Has done this before but on a 2HR + nap.

What else can we do? If he wakes early, I'll just put him on the boob.

Can't see how he could have been OT at 1HR 25 though??

ANyway, he is hard work when OT. At least if he wakes a lot during the night, I can bf and hope that he sleeps longer if you see what I mean??? If he wakes at 5.40 like your LO, I will just put him on boob and start the day when I put him back in cot etc. What else to do??

If you start the day at 5.40am and have no CN and a short nap, what happens??

How did you go Jessmum? Did she go back to sleep? Hope so. Keep us updated and take care.

Benji asleep just before 6. Now it's just a matter of how many wake ups and how long for etc. Too scared to have dinner or anything (his room is a paper thin wall behind the kitchen).

What else can we do other than what we are already doing? And why do other people I know not seem to have a clue what I'm talking about when I talk about this stuff grrr.
