I think its still normal at this stage (4 weeks) to feel lumpy all over the boob before needing to feed. Mine would get hard like rocks but I only got to the worried stage when I'd feel a bit fluey, achy, with a red streak or redness in one area.

I would do as many hot before and cold after for the next while, whenever you're at home and that should help regulate things a little. Looks like your boobs are in panic mode, overdrive a bit perhaps. Still very normal at this stage of the game.

ps your booby tubes look cool. What's inside them?

ok...that's good to know....
i'm just so sad i[m not getting to enjoy this time with DD2....and that i'm being prevented from being a proper mammy to DD1.... :(
terrified of it all coming back again...

the booby tubes aren't great at holding the cold tbh, so i've ordered those other  ones (or something similar) from boots...
they are great at keeping the heat though....

they are a cotton shell, filled with all natural flax seeds...according to the box!!!

Have you been back to see the LC?  I just wonder whether some of it could be position and attachment related, maybe?

Glad you're feeling better!  You may just have to be more careful with the latch this time -- esp at night when you're tired and just wanting to go back to bed!  For whatever reason, ds needed to be reminded of the proper latch much more frequently than the girls!  I felt like I was forever getting lumpy with him.

Could be. Or your supply is a bit low cos you're unwell?

Maybe OS/OALD, she's not dealing with the flow and its tiring her out too much?

Lots of frozen booby tubes on your boobs after each feed should help regulate...
Try and stop the pumping for a bit....will also help regulate. You can always go back to it later x

Is there a reason you're pumping?  If it's for comfort, you could always hand express a little until you feel comfortable.

Do you feel like she's getting enough from that breast when she's feeding from it?  If so, the pumping will be signalling your body to make more milk because it thinks it isn't making enough.  Stopping the pumping for a while will help it to realise you're not starving your baby :)

Just bear in mind that all that you pump is what your body thinks it needs to make for your LO, so if you miss pumping at some stage, you may well find you're engorged, which might not help with the lumps.
