Yip, links are ok. Just did a google images search for them so you'd get an idea, so don't take any notice of the websites they are actually linked to.

I now buy off figleaves or fromheretomaternity.co.uk or nursingbras.co.uk
I like the ANITA ones - but get yourself measured up first and go from there.

I have four bravado nursing bras....two for sleep and two of the nicer ones for daytime...but lately all I wear are nursing tanks from target. Really need to spring fo nicer ones like bravado has as I love that the tank covers my tummy but the ones I have are just a shelf bra!  I measured myself and called bravado directly for sizing help and ordered online and had no issues.

How's it going now sweetie?  With ds, I found I was always having to be more vigilant with either of the girls, I was always getting lumps and I couldn't ever figure out why.  I had mastitis once when he was a few months old, but not again after that and he nursed until 16 months.  But, there was a lot of massaging out lumps as he nursed, in the shower, or when I pumped.

thanks for checking in. :-*

im so lumpy. :-\
i feel like im caught in a vicious circle of having to pump to
relieve the lumps, then creating more milk, meaning i have
to pump again etc etc :-\

i have just fed from the L,but im going to have to pump
from the R now :-\

getting v disheartened. :-\ :-\

but DD is doing great through it all-she put on 2 lbs in 2.5wks.

I've read that lecithin helps with getting repeated clogged ducts....would that be helpful at all in this situation?
Sorry, have no BTDT experience.

I had exactly the same and also on the R side, happy.
It always helped me to get DD on the R side during her sleepier feeds first and massage, massage, massage.

It was only after she weaned and during an ultrasound for lumps that never went away that I found out my milk ducts on the R side are very twisted and contorted compared to left so DD being a very impatient little soul was not patient enough to wait for the letdown from the twisted ducts (DS was similar but much, much older when it happened) and so fed less from this side or less happily anyway. I would usually start with R side for first morning feeds if I got to her when she was only fussing a tiny bit, same for middle of night feeds and DFs and for the more ravenous and awake feeds I would trick her by starting in trad position on the left and then moving her when I got the letdown going (thro massage) on the right and moving her there in a football hold in one foul swoop IYKWIM?

Of course, with such a great weight gain, you may be better off teaching your right side to produce less and less - best way for this is through ice packs after a feed and pumping only when necessary from this side. I fed mainly from the left side for the last 4-6 months of feeding both of mine - was a little lopsided but at 1yr plus I couldn't trick them into feeding from the R side anymore...

i am actually wondering if part of our problem-
including Dd's screaming sessions-is that i have too
much milk coming too fast for her?is it called OALD?
was thinking of starting a seperate thread on it.
it just shoots out! there just seems to be SO much!

There's a great faq on it with lots of tips.
You can always hand express.until you feel more comfortable instead of pumping.

can i run something by ye?i just want to make sure i am on the right track to keep this mastitis at bay....

i def have LOTS of milk....so in order to attempt to keep things under control, i will only pump from my R side if i am very lumpy/uncomfortable, right?

i will also put an ice-pack on the R side after each feed. should i still put the heat on it before a feed?

if DD doesn't drain the R side during 1 feed, do i pump to drain it?or do i wait & put her back on the R for the next feed?

ugh....bottles would be so much easier!!!(i know, they come with their own problems, but boy, sometimes i wish i had never BF DD1, then i wouldn't feel under pressure to BF DD2...kwim?....and no....i don't *really* wish that....i guess i just wish that you could get the benefits of breastmilk through a carton!!!)
