Well she woke at 5am and has been a whinging emotional wreck since!! Less than 10 hours sleep overnight, shortest for a long time!
So it is either the 1 hour 45min nap or the a time to bed, I didn't think she was very tired last night going to bed, but again she never shows any signs at bt of being sleepy. I had her in bed at the 5 hour a time mark for her to be asleep at the 5.5 hour mark but it took her until 6 hours a time to fall asleep!
S just to re cap yesterday went
Wake 6am (after 12 hours sleep)
Sleep 11.30
Wake 1.15
Bed for night 6.15 asleep 7.15
Wake this morning 5am
So with the wake up this morning what time should I do nap? If I push to 11 I am bound to get an OT nap but then this leads to a ridiculous early bedtime which if I can get her asleep in time will help otherwise complete disaster!!!

What would happen if you woke her after 30mins for her AM nap, would she take a PM then? :-\
Otherwise I think IIWM I would go for 10.45 and hope for no OT nap, then 5.30/6pm BT. :-*

Didn't get this till after the post, put her down at 10.30 she woke at 11.40!!!!!!!!! An hour later she is still in her cot and she isn't going back asleep, changed her gave her more milk but no way! We were even in the car this morning around 9 and there wasn't even a hint of her drifting off!
Will aim for a 5.30pm bedtime and hope to have her asleep quickly

Doe she ever give you tired signs? Do you think if you just waited she may give them, even if it's after a hideous long A time? You would need to doa short A to BT but it could be worth a try, or try a longer first A to see if it suits her better??? ths wouldn't work for us, but I'm just throwing everything out there!

Well yesterday as you know was a disaster she was in bed for 5.30 and I had her asleep before 6. She had a nw (first in weeks) from 10.45 until 12.30am she then woke for the day at 5.45.
I had her in bed for her nap at 11 took her a little while to fall asleep say 10/15mins. She woke a the 1 hour mark and is in her cot now crying for me!
Will do a 5.30pm bedtime and hope that it gets her back on track but honestly I am getting tired of all this.....I feel like just giving up all the counting the tweaking etc etc, we get one good night, then she has an ew and it all gets thrown of course, no two days are ever the same and I can't seem to plan to do anything!

sorry things are so rough hun. Have you thought about just setting a nap time for a week or so to see how she responds. It will give you a break from tweaking and it 'may' help to set her clock a bit more.

Oh Amy I'm so sorry things are so tough still with C :-*
I know that feeing of wanting to just give up. Becky has a good point...maybe a set nap could help Push through the OTand set her clock.

If you were to do a set nap what do you think would work? If she is on 5.30-5.30 at the moment maybe try a 5.5 hr A then 5 hr A after that. And hope that as she starts to nap longer the day will move a bit? :-\

I was going to suggest the same as becky - given that you are having so many issues, it might be worth trying a week where the nap is, say 11-1 and bedtime is 6.30 regardless of when she wakes up. If you do try this, you need to stick with the times you choose even if she wakes early and/or short naps.

Hi Amy.. Is it possible that her A times are way too short? Has she always had low A times? She is what about 17 months now? I would personally try a 6 hr A. iiwm

Well she woke at 4.56am I had her in bed at 10.50 and she is chatting away in her cot! She is def OT so I think 6 is too long!! But I I'll stick with the set 11am nap and 6.30 bed for a week and then evaluate!
