Hope this means that you have turned a corner and she will sleep better for you from now on.

Dog woke her again, he is now banished from the house for naps! So she slept an hour from 11 to 12. Had her in bed at 6.15 and it is almost 10 mins later and she is chatting away to herself! Fingers crossed foe tonight!

I do know that we went through a phase with dd2 when she was about 18 monts when she just needed to chat for a while before she went to slep - not so much to do wit a times or nap length, just that she needed that extra time to wind down.

She slept yest from 11 until 12.45. She was in bed last night at 6.20 didn't sleep until 7pm and woke this morning at 5.15am.
Nt sure where to go from here, would like a later wu......just 6 would be fine!

Am I right that the nap is slowly getting longer though? If so I am hoping that your nights may follow... :-\

yes it does sound like OT to me but I would still stick with the set times. How long have you been doing it for now?? She may get OT in the process but she was doing so even when you were being more flexible yk...

Ok so it is a week tomorrow since I started the set times.
Yest I had to wake her from her nap after two hours! and she went straight to sleep last night. Today she slept 1hour 45mins and went to sleep on her own at night, no going back in. However last night dh had her in bed at 6..... He said he got the time wrong??? But she still slept to 5.30 this morning.
So will i start moving the nap forward by 15 mins every three days now? Do I keep bed time at 6.30??

Wow Amy that is fantastic news Hun! Good work you for sticking with it, it's so hard to stick with set times. so what does EAsY look like now? Is is?
WU 5.30
Nap 11-1
BT 6/6.30?

Maye try moving that nap forward 15 mins in a few days once you know she is caught up on that OT and see how she goes?

Yay great news!

Amy when I shifted things later I pushed both nap & BT at the same time.  Otherwise all you are doing is shortening the A time to BT if you keep BT the same IYSWIM?  I also started off at 15mins every 3 days, but found it was too quick for O so I slowed it down & pushed 15mins later/week.

I agree with Sara, I would also would wait another few days yet before starting to move things, as it is likely to make her OT.

xx

Ok will wait a few more days, last night she actually woke at 9pm for an hour but didn't wake this am until 6.40. I think at the moment the a time to bed is too long. So that is why I am keen to keep it the same. There is def an element of OT at bedtime which is making it hard for her to fall asleep. Yes sara that is exactly how our easy is except she is in the cot at 6.15 and asleep at 7pm.

Mm good question re nap time. I would say stick with it, but it is quite the sleep in, maybe watch her and go for 11.30 or so? What do you think? 11 she may be UT but following A rather than fixed naps may mess you up a bit :-\
