Hi,
My DD has just turned 10 months, and for the past week we have transitioned her to one nap.She really did this on her own by wanting to stay awake for longer in the morning. When we had our first 1 nap,she went down at 11:30 and slept for 2 1/2 hrs.She did a few days of going down at 11:30,then gradually moved to 11:45,and the past 2 days it has been closer to 12:00.She had been waking early before we did the switch to one nap, usually 5:15/5:30,although she did go back to sleep for a little while. She now wakes up at about 6am,and yesterday,I had to wake her at 7am..result!Could this have been the reason for her early waking, her needing to transition early. She has always had long A times for her age.I know it is early for her to transition, but it seems to be working.I'm just wondering how much daytime sleep she needs,if she sleeps generally 11-12 hours, usually 11 1/2.This is her routine at the moment.
6-7am stir/plays/sleeps a bit more
7:00 Bottle
8:00 Breakfast
10:45/11:00 1/2 of her lunch
11:45/12:00 sleep
2:15 ish wake then fruit and yoghurt
4:45 Tea
6:00 Bath
6:30 Bottle
6:45 Bed
Does this routine look ok,is 2 1/2 hrs of sleep enough or too much for her. When I hear her stir in the morning, she sometimes wimpers a bit,I try not to go in unless she is really agitated, and this only because she has rolled over and got herself into an uncomfortable position, then she usually goes back to sleep or chats to herself on and off.
Any advice?
Thanks
