B: hashbrowns (potato chunks), egg, sausage, tomato, toast bits, and pancake... we were out for breakie
S: not hungry... he did eat a massive breakfast
L: nectarine, bagel with butter and cream cheese
S: raspberries and strawberry Toddler Mum-Mum
D: snow peas, shrimp, red pepper, a few bits of naan, and some brown rice and quinoa mixed together

DH and I had Thai curry for dinner, but I didn't want to give any to Nathan. He has a massive diaper rash again and I didn't want to take the chance that the curry sauce would bother him. It wasn't spicy at all and he kept asking for some of mine, so I did dip his spoon with the rice and quinoa into my sauce a few times. Sigh. I am a soft touch... this has never given him a rash before, so I hope we are ok for tonight.

Finally a better eating day yesterday, though it started off horribly. Something is really bothering the little man - definitely partly teething but suspect maybe something viral too?

B: 20 blueberries. At first refused all else and was crying. Then got super hungry and finally ate 1/2 piece raisin toast with cream cheese
L: was acting hungry early but refused veggie lasagna and yogurt and was crying hard. An hour later was acting super hungry. At first refused same but then ate decent portion lasagna and all yogurt (though I did have to feed him the whole meal)
S: yogurt melts, cheddar bunnies
D: much nicer meal - sweet potato fries, homemade sweet and sour chicken, couple arrowroot cookies

KM - he'd normally self feed the lasagna completely with me only feeding him the lasagna.

Today was better:

B: few each blueberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, 1/4 toasted bialy with butter
L: 3/4 a yogurt, 1/2 scrambled egg with cheese and spinach (refused to eat at first then suddenly did pretty well)
S: few goldfish crackers and Just Apricots at town pool
D: 2 mozzarella sticks, half piece pizza, few bites mint chip ice cream

Okay so first off I have to do a happy dance. :) I made the deceptively delicious chicken nuggets for my daughter who will not eat anything chicken that I make (and I mean nothing) but will eat the processed purdue chicken nuggets (go figure) Low and behold to my surprise she ate them!!!!! I am over the moon with happiness :)

Today:
Breakfast:
Blueberry pancake, 1/2 yogurt, 1/2 peach

Lunch:
Cheese toast, some mixed veggies

Snack:
Strawberries and blueberries

Dinner:
Chicken nuggets (2 I think), 4 sweet potato slices, some mixed veggies, and two handfuls of mini nilla wafers (dh idea cause dd ate the chicken so well)

Brennasmommy, can you post that recipe? Nathan also refuses to eat any chicken.

A good food day here; we are making some changes in his diet to try to cut down on the amount of diaper rashes.

B: frittatta with cheese, zuchinni, red pepper, and potato
S: watermelon
L: peanut butter and jam pinwheels (spread on a tortilla and rolled, then sliced)
S: toddler cereal bar
D: cheese chunks, zuchinni, goldfish crackers, bits of my pita, chicken (refused, as usual)

Amy - when did you introduce peanut butter and how? Trying to decide how best to go on that one...

I haven't made the DD chicken nuggets but have made the sneaky chef chicken fingers and DD and DS both really like them.

Today was:

B: lots of fruit (blueberries, strawberries, grapes and cantaloupe), few cheerios, few bites toasted buttered bagel
L: most of a turkey patty (with zucchini, carrots and applesauce), most of a yogurt
S: fresh peach (at maybe 1/3 of it), goldfish crackers
D: some french onion soup, maybe 1/3 kids-size hamburger (meat only), few french fries, oyster crackers

No one on either side of the family has any food alllergies, so I knew he wasn't at a higher risk. When he was about 13 months old I put a tiny bit on my finger and put it in his mouth after a breakfast of foods I knew he was fine with (so I could isolate a reaction to the pb if he did react). He liked it right away and wanted more, but I watched him for the rest of the day for a reaction. The next day I did the same thing but with slightly more pb, and the next day I did it again with still more pb. He was not having any type of reaction, so I gave him a bit on some toast the next day. When he still didn't have any reaction and seemed to love it, I made it a good part of his diet since he often refuses meat. He now gets pb and jam (I always give both, to help with the stickiness) several times per week.

Today was day two of the diet changes, and he only pooped once all day long. I am hoping that this will work and his almost weekly diaper rash problems will go away!

Thanks Amy - maybe will try this week. Matty sometimes does well with meat but lately been pickier about it - probably partly cause of his teeth. Nobody in our household so far is nut allergic BUT my brother is, as is my niece (DS's sister's first kid). Oh - meant to ask, did you use "regular" PB (Skippy, Jiff or the like) or the all natural kind?

Hope Max feels better soon!

Hi Ladies - hope you and you LO are doing okay.

Kept a track of what DD has been eating over the last week - but have been so busy that I haven't had time to post - so am going to do a mammoth post now LOL! Feel free to skip reading it tho . . .

Tuesday
B: cereal & milk, innocent smoothie
At CM:
S: cookies & milk
L: ham & cheese tortilla with salad, fruit & yoghurt, water

S: mister man ice cream/ice lolly (given to her by the lady in the cafe after she fell and bust her lip open - big time  :'()
D: (despite the fat lip still did well with dinner), gnocchi with home-made 'pesto' (coriander & parsley rather than basil), peppers & onion, yoghurt, one of my Great Gran's Polish 'croshchiki' (don't know how you spell it or how to describe it either - but it reminds me of a 'hard' doughnut sprinkled with icing sugar), water

At CM:
S: biscuit & water
L: soup & bread, angel delight, milk
S: cheese cubes, banana, grapes & apple, juice

D: leftovers from Thurs (fish, potatoes, roasted veg), yoghurt, strawberries, croshchiki

Saturday
B: 2 bowls of muesli & milk, then at least 1/2 slice of DH's toast (if not more - as she kept going back for more and more)
S: none as such - went to a birthday party at soft play so had early lunch
L: party food (tho not much really), jam sandwich (one triangle), 1-2 ritz crackers, cheese cubes, ice cream scoop & wafer (cleaned the bowl out  ::)), juice - then a small OJ when we went back to birthday girl's house to play

Oh - meant to ask, did you use "regular" PB (Skippy, Jiff or the like) or the all natural kind?

I use Creamy Skippy, so that is what I offered him. If I liked the all natural stuff I would give him that, but I hate stirring in the goop! Good luck Karen, it is scary to think about these serious reactions when they are a possibility, eh?
