Deb - Hopefully the spit-up thing is just a phase. In the meantime, though, she's generating alot of laundry. Usually she manages to get either dh or I as well.
What you described sounds like a growth spurt to me. Maya's lasted a bit longer, but we were travelling so it took longer to get my supply up to her demand.
Maya also used to have congestion/excessive snot issues, but it wasn't as bad as you describe. The ped chalked it up to her getting milk in her sinuses when feeding, but in her case, it was worse after a feed, and she seemed to grow out of it by about 4mos.
Branwen - Maya has been super-distracted while eating lately as well. I have given up on trying to feed her anywhere but the nursery. I am torn, though, between doing whatever it takes to get a good feed and trying to get her to focus even when there's someone else in the room.
I suppose she could be over-eating at times. I'll have to watch and see if I can correlate. For the past few days, though, it has happened with just about every feeding.
We have also been dealing with touchy baby issues. I get alot of comments (and unsolicited advice) when we are out because she won't smile for strangers. We can no longer go grocery shopping in the early afternoon (we live in FL, and that's when the old biddies shop).
Nightmares - Maya also wakes screaming a couple times a week, usually about 45min to 1hr after putting her to bed for the night. Sometimes she settles herself, other times dh goes in and changes her diaper (that distracts her and she settles down) and puts her back to bed. Dh was rereading the second BW book, and he found a mention that it might be related to overstimulation before bed. When we thought about it, some of the nights she did it, we had been out running errands before her last feed as opposed to her usual stroll around the neighborhood.
