Oh how I wish it was happy hour now!!!!

She slept another 40 mins til 12:45pm, so I plan to have her in bed by 5pm, asleep by 5:15pm.

NOT a good night  ::)

I *think* she was asleep by about 5:20pm, then up at 4:12am.  She did go B2S at 4:54am til 5:39am, and then up for the day.

Considering the early wake up and less than stellar night, is naptime at 11:30am?

Yep!

You won't be successful in resetting her body clock (and getting across the message that 1 nap is all that is on offer) if you keep moving her naptime about.

Stick with it.

It seems I won't be successful whatever I do...

She was almost asleep as I was changing her diaper during wind down.  It made me sad, I feel like she's soooo tired and I'm keeping her up.

It was easier working full time.

Working is DEFINITELY easier than being a full time mum, no question about it! But the rewards are so much greater  :)

Don't be sad - what you are doing is for the benefit of both of you. If you had put her down to sleep earlier and let her sleep as long as she wanted, then it's fairly certain that she would have refused the pm nap and been seriously OT by bedtime. And your afternoon would have been crappy!!

I think our afternoon is still going to be crappy  ::)

She slept 40 mins, from 11:18am-11:58am.  I did manage to get her b2s in her crib for another 15 mins, and again for another 5.

4:30pm bedtime is going to be the norm I think.

You're only on day 3 of the 1-nap schedule so you would expect today and the next couple of days to be rubbish.

Hang on in there and let's look forward to next week when everything will hopefully start to fall into place - it was starting to work last time so there's no reason why it can't work again.

Well somebody was NOT having a 4:30pm bedtime.  More like 5pm- and I think I heard her at 5:33pm.  I guess another night of NWs and EW is in order, eh?

This blows.

How was the night Leslie? M has surprised us before so I am hoping it went ok! L also was awake for an hour in the night coughing, what can you do about that? I turned her onto her tummy so she wouldn't have saliva etc draining down her throat but that just got her excited to see me so I just left her to get on with it  ::)

Laura I hope Ollie's no naps are because of his canine. Those canines are giving us the right run around, they keep coming to the surface and then going down again and they seem to throw everything off track  >:(

Oh goodness- I need to start praying to St. Jude.

M slept through the night (YAY), but was awake at 5:15am and wouldn't go b2s (BOO).

How am I going to keep her up more than 6 hours????  I plan to take her out to the diner, but come on.

You know what I do when I need Lily to last longer than she would normally?

SUGAR!!!!!  ;)

Lily doesn't have anything that isn't naturally sweet, well not very often anyway, because it sends her quite hypo.  So I have used this to my own benefit at times and kept her going with some white chocolate  :D  If she is dog tired its not enough to send her hypo but gives her the energy to keep going that little bit longer.  Of course you have to watch they don't go into the sugar rush slump, but it does work, providing you can keep them going until they get something healthy in them to balance the sugar levels back out.

Maybe not the answer you where expecting but hey, if it works  :P

Still a good night Leslie - almost 12 hours uninterrupted sleep is great.
Don't forget, M managed long A times when you went for 1 nap last time and by the end of the week you started to see improvements. Hope your morning went OK!

NEWSFLASH!! We have a nap!! Ollie had to COMPLETELY meltdown first mind, but at least he's asleep :P Shame he woke his little sister up from her nap in the process, but hey, can't have it all!!

I tried maple syrup on her pancake, but I think it had the opposite effect- she fell asleep in the stroller on the way home from the diner for about 5 mins (which she NEVER does).  I hope this doesn't completely screw up the 11:30am nap.  She's now resisting the 11:30am nap.  Give me strength!

YAY for OLLIE!  You've turned a corner- too bad about poor Amy.

I wish... how long should I leave her in there complaining?  I suspect it's going to be hard crying soon.
