I really don't think Aidan will, he is not a cuddly person at all, only before he goes to sleep at night.  I don't have a chair just a bed and he likes to crawl on it, stand up and bounce!!  I will maybe take some books in and try and get him to stick and read them with me.  Its the only other time he is still!  He just thinks the bed is a great play area, and if we are on the floor he wants to get at the drawers all the time to take things out!

I will do all I can!

LOL!  I would just put a regular chair in there for a bit and see if you can get him to settle with you - I don't speak to Alexandra at all, just sit and she seems to understand that she isn't supposed to be up yet ;)  Most days... LOL!

Ah good idea, I will put a chair in there and sit with him.  I swear there is no way he will do it,  he will squirm and wriggle til I let him down!  Perseverance is the name of the game!!

LOL!  You will win!

The workers are back... and Alexandra is having a very disrupted nap :(  Poor baby hasn't had a good sleep in a couple of days now... sigh.

Good luck Gemma!!!

Argh - baby just woke up crying and it's 120pm... 2 hours in her crib, but a really shotty nap :(  Looks like EBT here tonight!

Edit - she went back to sleep again and is just waking now at 155pm!  WOOT WOOT for small miracles ;)

Edit again!!! - went back to sleep again... it's now 222pm and she isn't awake yet!  Will leave her be to do some catch up :)

Final edit (promise LOL) - just woke up at 230pm :)  Not crying - just hollering for me :)

She resettled on her own after a few minutes - I only ever go in if she is waking from a good nap happily cooing away or if she cries ;)  It was a 3 hour total, but likely the worst nap of her life!  I have no idea how to count it... so I just decided to keep her up to her normal BT unless she was clearly needing an EBT.  She did totally fine - started to fuss about 5 mins before her bath time (like she always does - I swear she can tell time), happy in the bath... started to yawn and rub her eyes a little while I got her jammies on etc (like she always does)... no crying or anything... drank her bottle and into her sack... sat down to sing Twinkle Twinkle - she generally gets sleepy with this part and then easily goes down in her crib with a bit of sighing/babbling... not tonight, suddenly she seemed awake and ready to party!  Ugh.  I put her down and said a little prayer... wasn't answered :(  She started to cry a couple minutes later so I had to AP her to sleep.. even that took just over 10 mins.  Ugh.

I think that her few days/nights of poor sleep have caught up to her :(  My attempt at a good solid nap today to get her back on track was interrupted by the stupid lawn care group!  So, she may have been in her crib for 3 hours,  but it was probably like a 1 hr nap... since she doesn't have tired signs all that much anymore - I think OT smacked us in the face - HARD :(

She has been in her crib for about 15 mins now and her breathing is still not what it should be for her to be headed off to a good deep sleep yet... a little huffy... sigh.

Ladies you may find after jumping to the 1 nap days you need to try to squeeze in that CN every few days to keep accumulated OT at bay :-\

That said, they WILL adjust, you just may have some icky days. :-*

Well today has not gone quite as I hoped so far, but couldn't be helped.  He seems to have cut 2 molars in the night so was very unsettled and woke a lot between 5am and 6.30am but then slept til 7.45.  I still planned to do 12pm nap but then a friend of mine called with an emergency at home so I had to go help.  At this point I thought about leaving it for today but decided to carry on.  So he went down at 12.30 and fell asleep at 12.45.  Not quite the right timings but its a start getting him used to 1 later nap.  Tomorrow we will def put down at 12!

I reckon he'll do a 45 min nap.

EDIT to say he woke at 30mins!!  Not even 45!  Clearly OT, but because of these molars pushing through I thought I would give him some medicine to see if that helps, he calmed down and has gone back to sleep I think!  Miracle!
