Eye teeth? Molars? We still only have two teeth here and it's been 5 months since the last tooth came in, LOL!
Well, that was a H*LL of a night...I know today was totally too much for her so of course it's my fault, but I hate it to when she gets to this level of OT - NOTHING will get her to sleep and she hits a point where she starts screaming nonstop. I tried to put her down early at 6:30 but she fought and fought and fought for an hour and then I took a little break with her and played quietly with some toys and when we tried to go back to sleepy land she started the nonstop screaming and kicking, etc. SO...unfortunately what I have to do when she gets like this is lie down with her, put her feet in between my legs, hold her rump tight against me with one arm, hold her shoulders against me with my other, and press my cheek to her face and just do this hum over and over while she screams bloody murder and then she literally goes from full-force screaming to passed out. Then I hold her until those sad hiccups stop and plop her in bed. It was a 2-glass wine night, LOL! I'm almost just as distraught as she is when she gets to that point. At least I figured out at one point what makes her go to sleep when she's like this.
So...tomorrow I will be extra diligent but DH and I are going on a date tomorrow night so wish me luck that we can get her in a good frame of mind for the babysitter (who has done her bedtime routine before and I'm comfortable with her, but still...).
Anyway, I realized today why I'm hesitant to do the 20min am nap...I think it gets her a little too OT by the afternoon nap, although I realize today I pushed her way too long, so I'm not ruling it out altogether, I just think she'd do better overall with a long am nap, catnap in the pm and a later bedtime. I'll get it figured out, I just know it!
<sigh>
Of course it didn't help that I had to make chicken for 50 people tonight...it's 11pm I'm going to bed!!
