Holly--glad all is well with Brady. Yeah that he's on all fours...way to go little guy!!

You know you're addicted to BW site when...
Your entire dinner conversation with DH consists of stories from your BW friends and their LOs.
You would rather get caught up on reading and posting that getting much-needed sleep.

Speaking of...I'm off to bed!
G'night all!

YES!  And also, instead of watching hours of TV in the evening, I have the laptop on the couch arm and surf instead of watching...

Hayley, I'd probably lower the cot level now, he could surprise you by his first time standing actually being in his cot.   Wow, Danielle's still on the top level with the cot side lowered still.

Way to go all those little movers!  :D

Hi Everyone,

DH is playing with Halle so I jumped on to check the thread !! I am addicted too....He is off FISHING tomorrow   What a life a man has eh?? He got the phone call from his mate during dinner. He was looking at me and I rolled my eyes at him and gave him a nod. He said to his mate "Yeah I can go, I've got the go ahead from the boss" LOL When he hung up the phone I just looked at him and said "You suck". He had better bring home a great big fish or else he could be wearing his fishing rod fair up his bum.

Love the photo's eveyone they are just beautiful. Ankie, can't wait to see the chopsticks photo. Andrea that outfit Taylor is wearing is soooo great. Can't wait to see the rest of them. Yes Halle looks heaps like her Daddy.

GO DANIEL !!  Yay for crawling.

Halle has been waking up a few times between bedtime (6.30ish) and around midnight. I read on another post that this could be caused from being overtired??? Anyone have any thoughts on this?? No catnap but she usually wakes from 2nd nap between 2.30 and 3.15 so that's only 3 - 4 hours  :?

Who was eating the cucumber? Anyway, I gave Halle some to try and she loved it !!  Yay a new finger food!! Cherios are new here so I tried some - sorry YUCK !! Halle screwed up her face as well

Update on the story about my Nan's baby. I have found the name of the cemetery where she was buried. Also, there is a Family History Society in town that has the records I need from 1956 regarding burials at that cemetery. However, they are closed till January so I will have to wait. But it was so much easier than I expected. Finally we might be able to give her a 'real' name and some sort of memorial.

Who are the teachers in our group Hannah? Ankie? I am so paranoid about my spelling that you guys are going to get your red pencils out and correct everything LOL

Good morning everyone!!  We had a HUGE snowfall last night!  ABout 6-8 inches on the ground this morning.  DH was up shovelling at 6:00am before work.  Surprisingly Carter slept until 7:45 ... yeah!!!!  He definitely has a cold and is teething so double yeah that he slept through the night.  I went to the mall last night (without baby) to find something to wear to my Xmas party tonight.  It felt so weird not having Carter with me but needless to say it was fun.  However, when I got home Carter was ready for bf then bed.  After I put him down DH is like "So I folded 2 loads of laundry and bathed Carter, he was pretty fussy"  I said "Oh thanks, what time did you give him his cereal?"  Dh looks at me like    "Oops, I forgot" he says.  No wonder he was fussy .. he was hungry!!!  I thought for sure he would get up and be hungry.  DH was lucky cause I told him if Carter woke up then he could feed him cereal!!!!

Nancy:  WHite Christmas is my absolute favorite Xmas movie too!!!  I watch it every Christmas Eve!!

Kate:  Love the pictures!  The 'bear bum" is so cute!!!

Judy:  I think you said that your DH works for Siemens???  Is that the one in Tilbury??  My DH is currently working with some guys there on some of his projects!!  Also, one of our good friends works there as well!!

Yeah to all those who are crawling!  I don't think we are anywhere near there yet.  Carter seems to forget how to roll over lately!!  OUr new thing is throwing ourselves from sitting to our belly, bashing our head on the hardwood and crying

Anyway, have a good day ladies!!  Here's a pic of what we found outside this morning!!

Hey Cathy-we got the same snow here.  I'm officially naming this our official first snow as the first two were wimpy.  I'll have to see if Cole's suit fits better now than a month ago and maybe we can go play.  At the very least he'll have to sit in his stroller while I shovel a bit.  Holly might come by so I need to clear the walk!  Currently my 70 yr. old neighbour is shovelling and he did the part below the sidewalk and our part of the sidewalk. such a sweet man :D

Yay for Brady!!!

Bec-""You suck". He had better bring home a great big fish or else he could be wearing his fishing rod fair up his bum."  ROFLMAO
Like I said at chat-so wonderful for your nan.  makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. have you told her yet?

Nikki-Chocolate brownies are fine, thank you.  And could you please do a little run down on your veggie patties as well.  By the way, what is vegemite/marmite?  I wonder if it's cream cheese as we call it here :?  :?:

Here is our night for those that are interested.  I realize it's getting a little tiresome reading about it...but I just need to get it out.

down at 7:00
woke at 8:20 as I was going out, DH tried pupd for 10 min. then held to sleep :(
woke at 10:00, I settled
woke at 11:00, I settled
woke at 12:00, settled on and off crying on and off until 1:15 when he became hysterical.  Got DH to measure out advil.  held him to sleep finally at 1:55.  While holding I heard his tummy grumble...but still 2 more hours until my 10 hour rule.
put down at 2:10, up at 2:20 :?
fed, back down until 5:20 (phew)

didn't realize how full i'd be on the one side in the morning...so when i put cole on the second side he actually gagged, choked and spit up a lot.  Then I tried to offer again (wasn't sure what happened as it was dark) and my nipple wasn't even in his mouth and he gagged   Okay, he was full I guess.

So, I fed before 10 hours, around 8.5 hours so that's an hour longer than he's ever gone.  Think I'll keep the night feed (11pm) for a while then do pupd in the wee hours.  Or do you girls think this might be confusing for him?  Bec mentioned that last week. Sometimes mom feeds me and sometimes she doesn't?

Put him down for nap at 2.5A and he woke at 45, luckily extended as I needed more sleep.  DH took him from 6:30, put down for nap at 8:00, so I slept until he woke at 8:45.  Still down now at 9:35...yay.

Naps are good lately, just not sure about bedtime.  hmph.  maybe he's been overtired...but doesn't seem to want to go down earlier either.

Considering a chiropractor...couldn't hurt to try anyway...in case something is a little off.

okay, off to enjoy my coffee.

Cathy - no my dh works for Siemens in London not Tilbury.  I think they manufacture different things because rarely do the two plants work together.  Still very cool though eh!!  Small world!

As for the snow - we're right in between you Cathy and you Traci and we just got a dusting of it.  I was out with a friend and it was quite blustery on the way home but we live in the country about 20min from the city so it doesn't take much to be blustery out here. :)

Hannah's crawling - combat crawl but still moving forward and making ground!! :)

you contstanly think in your head DH and DD/DS MIL, ROTFLMAO and all other acronyms as you have conversations with people!

Andrea - I'm so glad it's not just me.

Traci - I think if you just pick one thing and stick to it for a week or so, it wouldn't be confusing for Cole.  Like if you do something DFish around 11 and then don't feed again until morning, they he wouldn't think that when he wakes up, he gets fed at all, KWIM?

Hayley - Yay for Daniel and the crawling forwards!  Katie is still an "army crawler" here and shows no interest in crawling the proper way.  Glad you like the movie, hopefully we'll get to check it out during the holidays when we have family around to watch Katie.

Becca - love the pic!  SO cute!  BTW, I'm one of the teachers too, though I'm a special ed teacher and haven't ever had a kid that could spell anyway so I don't really notice it!

Judy - YAY for Hannah!

Holly - YAY for Brady!  All these little movers!  Sorry to hear about your pictures, I think I'd be upset too.  Oh, and I so do NOT think you were being paranoid about the bump on Brady's neck.  I would have worried too and gotten it checked out, so I don't think you should feel badly about that at all.

Hannah - glad the first day back went well and what a sweet DH you have.  Bet you couldn't wait to see Sophie!  On days when I work, I get so excited to see Katie.

Snow here too - something like 6-9 inches according to the news, though I haven't actually gone outside and checked it out yet.  Katie actually slept last night despite the stuffy nose and teething, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Ladies, my cat is stupid.  She is the sweetest thing ever, but she has the IQ of a rock I think.  Katie loves the cat, loves to grab her tail and her feet (which the cat does not like at all - even makes unhappy little meowing sounds when Katie grabs at her).  Does the cat move when Katie does it? Of course not.  Sometimes she'll kind of scoot about 3 inches away - Katie follows her of course.  Sometimes I feel bad for the cat and move her to the nice comfy couch.  Then, the cat comes back and lays down near Katie and it all starts again.  Poor stupid cat!  I'll post some snowy pics later!

Hannah - CONGRATS, YOU DID IT!!  Well done, I can't wait to hear all about it!  What a fab DH, I hope he enjoyed his *ahem* attention  !

Well done Daniel and Hannah - little busy bodies!!

Bec - LOL, I have many times threatened to "shove" my DH's golf clubs!  Lucky guy to have such a cool DW!

Traci - Stay strong, it has to get better right?  I wonder what it is with Cole, I do think about it all the time.   I suppose that is another "you know you are addicted' moment, I was driving yesterday and was racking my brain as to what may help Cole sleep!

It has finally warmed up here (-5)so I am taking Sophie outside for the 1st time since Sunday  , and that was only from the car to the house.  News here is that Sophie is pulling herself up!  She still is mainly shimmying and rolling not quite proper crawling but she pulled herself up on the couch yesterday and kept doing it on the bottom step this morning  !  I will post a pic later also I will post a pic of Sophie in a sleigh - definately a 1st for us, it will be cute for daddy to see!

Gotta run........

Hey all!! We made it safe and sound to Victoria last night. The flight was delayed out of Edmonton by about 20 minutes and Molly would not have her catnap before we left for the airport so I figured I was in for a long, cranky flight! She did amazing!! The flight wasn't full so they gave me the whole 3 seats (see what a cute baby does to people??)  8) and I was able to put her down to sit. There was some turbulence so she did puke all over me and the whole first and second seats though!!  The stewardess was so very helpful (love WestJet) I need to write a letter about her. Got all cleaned up and changed her (note to self: take a change of clothes for MOMMY next time too!!) and all was well.
We were a little late landing and with the time change I think it was almost 8 pm when I got her to bed and she just zonked. Slept all night, barely made a peep!
When we got in last night MIL had "our room" all set up with playpen, bed etc. There were new flannel PJ's on my bed, new cashmere socks and new slippers!! Molly had new PJ's in her playpen as well as various new toys and gadgets laid about the room for her. How lucky am I??
Love, love, love my inlaws. I am sooooooooooo blessed.
Anyways, off to get Molls down for her nap, just had to update.
Hugs to everyone!!

OK, you know you're addicted to the BW site when the first thing you do at WORK is check in...even though you have a million other things to do :)

Oh yeah, and Andrea...I almost always ignore dh's sexual advances for a peek of the posts :)

I want to say so much more...but only have time to say thank you all SO  MUCH for all of the support.  I am here reading.  I love it.  Also, yesterday Sophie was sooooo cute when I picked her up.  She got all excited and started burrowing her head in my chest and bouncing up and down borrowing/bouncing and on and on it was very satisfying :)
OK, gotta work a little. See you all tonight!!!
Yay!

Hannah and Andrea: I almost always ignore dh's sexual advances for a peek of the posts.....lol  right there with ya!

Nikki and Erin - thanks for the reassurance that you both would do the same thing regarding the lump on Brady's neck, makes me feel less of a worrier, and that I'm not alone in my feelings about it.  Just happy that all is well with him. And Nikki, I agree with you, I didn't even know glands were on the back of the neck like that, just the sides. :?

Andrea - haven't given Brady ice cold water yet, I think Traci mentioned she did it with Cole as well, maybe I should, he may be more interested in it that way instead of room temp. I always thought it would give him stomach cramps or something being so cold, but maybe not. Also, love the outfit, adorable!

Hayley - YAH for Daniel crawling forward!!!!

Bec - I think I missed something somewhere along the posts maybe, but from what I'm reading now, your Nan lost a baby?  I'm so happy to hear that you will hopefully be able to give the baby a name and memorial...its so very important and It means so very much.....(coming from someone who has lost a child)

Cathy
- we had the same huge snowfall here today too....Brady and I were to go out today and were going to stop by and see Traci and Cole, but we're going to have to leave it till next week. Dh called this morning, and said the roads were just terrible, he is only about 5 minutes from work and said there was 7 accidents in that time span. omg  , so we sadly won't be visiting Traci and Cole today. bummed about that, was looking forward to it.

Well, our night wasn't so bad...Brady went down fairly well, settled within about 10 minutes or so....and slept through until 2am, was up from 2am till 4am, and then back to sleep until 7am. So all in all, we had a good night. ( I did p/u p/d and rubbed his back and sang to him thru those two hours of awake time) he didn't want any part in it, wanted to cry and be held mostly :( and boy do I feel bad when all he wants is to be cuddled and I keep trying to put him to bed.

Well, since we are inside today, hoping to clean my house..wish me luck, its so cluttered I can't even think where to begin. :?

Oh Richelle-thank you so much for trying to figure out my little guy.  I guess that's why I keep posting.  Maybe someone will figure him out!

forgot to mention we had a bit of a puking episode last night at dinner.  I thought it was because he took in some air while trying to do the sippy himself and not tilting it. It wasn't much, just some cereal.  Well, we had a HUGE puke session at lunch just now.  I gave him a small bit of egg yolk and EBM.  So now I'm wondering, is it that?  or the formula in his cereal?  *sigh*.  maybe i'll just stick to our tried and true foods (which aren't many) until I sort out the sleeping/teething issue.  It's too hard to judge right now what is affecting him.

And Erin-thanks for the tip of sticking with something.  I guess I have been all over the place and the little guy must be so confused.  Will do DF at around 11 then I'll know he can go the rest of the night.

Anyone else have their lo pooping ALL the time.  Yesterday they were a bit hard, not sure why.  But today they are fine, it's just that he'll BF and poop, eat lunch and poop, and well, just poop all the time it seems.  I think I changed 6 poopy diapers yesterday before I decided to just start plucking out the poop and leaving the diaper on.  Sorry if TMI and gross I know!  I haven't been giving him as much food as that dinner either.  That was 15tbsp...but he normally gets through 10-12 comfortably.  Maybe that's what it is...his body adjusting to the increased food.

As for BF-I wish our breasts had numbers on them.  I guess that's a big reason I want him on the bottle also.  I just don't know what he's taking during the day.  Often now it's only one breast, but he's on there a good 10-15 minutes so maybe my body is just adjusting to single side feeding?  I hope that's the case and he's not refusing the second because he's impatient for the milk.  I tried pumping today after he didn't eat and only got an ounce...hmmm??

oh well, time for windown.

good day all.  looking forward to chat.  do i ever need to hang out with you girls!

Traci - in response to your post, Brady has been pooping a lot lately too, given why he has the sore bum and bad rash I think...at least I think that is it...but who knows, I don't keep track of his poops, but I do know I change an awful lot of them, almost every change is a poopy one.... I'm sorry to hear Cole is puking a bit, I hope his tummy feels better soon. It may just be the adjustment to the food, but also as you said he may have took in air with the sippy and that could cause some gas and have spit up with it....either way, I hope his tummy is better real soon. As for the bf, I don't have much advice, I'm still trying to figure out how to keep mine flowing too..... :?

Thought you might like to see a picture of my little snow baby - I think we've got about 5-6 inches here.  DH's family is from Buffalo, New York where they get TONS of snow (we were once there for a storm where they got 4 feet in 24 hours!) so I'm so programmed to think "Oh, it's not much."  It is a good amount for this part of the world though!
