The problem for her is any length of nap makes her fight bedtime for 30-60min...she just needs so much time to settle if she isn't absolutely 120% tired :(
Yes, L is the same. The last two nights she's even thrown her duvet and pillow out of her cot bed ::)

Well, I let DD nap yesterday and it bit me in the bum... took ages to settle at BT and was frantic at best... ugh.

So, no nap today was a bit rough since her night was only about 11 hrs last night.  Tonight was the first time she requested jammies and no bath... she went down easily at 640pm.  Not a peep yet... it is 830pm.  I think we are best to stay the course and use EBT as needed to keep OT down.

I hope she sleeps well tonight kara!

Vicki how's Sam Hun?

Did anyone else start the nap drop with just doing 1 no nap day a week? - or anything like that?

From about 2 yo it was almost impossible for us to let DS sleep in the car, even when he clearly needed it.
I think I am just seeing this too.  His regular nap would be in the

I find our days are totally unpredictable. Tuesday was a nn day (after two nap days in a row and a 11 h night disturbed by cough), he was in preschool but didn't take the nap they offered. He was shattered in the evening, and we did a bt earlier than half an hour. However, the subsequent night was disturbed by cough and little less than 11 h, absolutely not enough according to me... But the behavior on Wednesday morning was very good. So ???
Wednesday he napped at preschool, don't know how long but I guess a good nap as he was so well-behaved in the evening. I put him to bed 15 mins before the usual bt, as I knew he should be tired from the previous days and... I had to wake him at 11.5 h! :o What is so strange is there is not any correlation between having a nap or not and the night sleep. I think we have to accept to have some up and down in this transition. Following his leads seems to work now, but it makes life less predictable...

Vicki how's Sam Hun?

Thanks for asking Hun. His behaviour is deteriorating badly, he's hitting and kicking and just generally hard work. I KNOW he is shattered but that doesn't stop him from being a pain the arse!  ;) and very hard work. He needs a super tack.

x.

So we have officially lost our nap and I have set bedtime sort of lol.  We head up stairs at 7 and then aim for bedtime routine to be done by 7:30 all though with stalling and overtiredness sometimes its earlier and sometimes its later.  We found that any earlier of a bed time resulted in a 5 am wake up and that at least with this bedtime we get a 6:30-6:45 wake up.  (I'm secretly hoping once she gets use to the new routine she will tack on alittle more sleep as she desperately needs it but who knows)  I cannot get in the car with her after 3:30 which is a PITA and by 4:30 she melts down completely over the silliest of things but if I did get her to nap bedtime was at like 10 oclock and she as up at 5 which is just not cool lol so I'm staying the course and hoping daylight savings time will be my friend lol.

Lord help us!  Things have gone to custard at a minimum here... she still needs a nap (will be at the expense of night sleep but may be best!).. ugh.  If only these little people came with some sort of instructional book or a diagnostic computer...

I have been watching her to see if there is a time of day she seems to get quiet/sleepy etc... appears that I do have a window around 130pm!  So, today, I managed to get her into the crib at 145 (resistance!) and she finally dozed off around 205pm.  Will allow a decent bit of sleep.. 90 mins?

Behaviour is spiralling out of control - yelling/hitting/tantrums... constant crying at everything that remotely frustrates her :(  So not my baby!

I have to hang on to this nap somehow.. help.

Ugh  :'( so hard for you both. Have you tried setting a nap much later, say at 7 hours A time. Then keep it a bit shorter than usual and go with a BT around the usual time. For some really long am will over ride pm during the 1-0. For Sam this was not the case and then boom! for a while it worked, so it could be worth a try.

How long is her A time to that 1.30 ish window  ???

(Hugs)

Today - it was 7 hrs from wake up to 130... she woke crying today at 630am after a 7pm BT on a NN day.  Yesterday sucked.  This morning sucked.

I do think I could maybe have her sleeping around 130pm though, just have start a wind down with enough time!

Of course, she did manage to fall asleep and must be super tired cause she is currently sleeping through some big truck with a back up beeper who seems to be going backwards more than forwards out on our street.. and my stupid neighbour is right below her bedroom window chatting LOUDLY with another neighbour who is 95 and essentially deaf!  And there is a dog barking it's face off.. and seriously, the sirens just started!  If she wakes up, I might cry :(

This sounds very familiar. So 7 hours could be a winner. You can expect her to be grumpy for a while upon waking from the nap I guess, but I hope she does okay after sh comes round. How long was nap and A time to BT  ??? Could you go for 45 minute nap 1 hour max  ??? or would she not cope with that  ??? If she has a late nap every day then her A time to BT may change from today if she gets over the OT.

I want to throttle your neighbours for you  >:(

Good Luck Hun.x.
