Hi Beata,

When you go to the BW homepage, next to the tab for "Boards" there is "Chat". Click on that and a sign-in page appears. Type in your username and password. Then you click on the "Chat" button.

See you there!

Hi Ladies,

I'm preparing you now, this is going to be a LONNNNNGGGG post!  :)

For the last 2 days we haven't changed much, except making sure that Taylor does not fall asleep in the car or stroller even just for a minute before her naps.  Many days on our walks in the morning she will fall asleep for a few minutes, and the same goes for the afternoon if we run an errand, she'll fall asleep in the car.  We used to be able to pop her in her crib and no problem, but lately it seems that it always leads to 45 minute naps.  So the last 2 days no "sleeping when should be awake" (that is from Weissbluth), and voila...no 45 minute naps in 2 days!
ALso, after 2 weeks of no cat nap, it is back for the last 2 days.  Who knows, it could just be a fluke, but we are going to continue testing it out.
She continues to love her solids, eating about 2 cubes for bfast, 3 cubes for lunch, and 2 cubes and 2tbsp of cereal for dinner.  Have not tried any meat yet, and no green veggies (tried peas for 2 days and it seemed to cause her to have terribel gas).
Other than that we have been good (no bragging, after all, we have been bad...very bad the last week!).

Tonight DH and I decied to take T out to dinner since the day had gone smoothly and I got a couple of cute things for myself while out (an awesome sweater coat with embroidery and a cute long sleeve T).  I felt so guilty though...after all, I have always worked while we have been married and always earned as much, if not more than DH.  Now that he is the sole bread winner I kind of felt guilty.   :?: Any other moms feel this way?

Now for everyone else
Micky-hope DH is not in too much pain and little Jack is chicken pox free!

Richelle-people are so friggin senseless sometimes!!    Raising Sophie is the single most important thing you will ever do in your life, don't forget that!  I know how it is though.  When I quit a ton of people said, "so you're just gonna stay home and raise Taylor?"  and I would quickly reply, "well yes, but I am also helping DH with his business and starting a baby clothing line"  and then I realized, what the F@$* am I doing???  What is wrong wiht 'just' staying home and why do I feel like i have to justify it????

Jo-Taylor has been not so much clingy but VERY whiny!  It is kinda annoying actually    but she's still a doll!

Traci-T has a couple of blankies that we are testing out with her and a small square 'softy' as we call it from Barefoot Dreams, and she likes all of them...but doesn't seem attached to one over the other yet.

Naomi-hope Jay is feeling better.  Cheer up mommy...you are amazing!

Roz-had to laugh about the doctor letting oyu go home thing!!!   I felt that way so many times!

Judy-glad to see you pop in and soooo funny abotu the booby addicts!  Be glad they love them so much!

Kate-hope girls night out was fun!  hope you had a cocktail for all of us!

That's it for now...will post tomorrow about my co-sleeping friend that needs help...too tired for now.

looking forward to the chat!

I was re-reading my post and I think it automatically rejected the word cocktail because it says @!@! and I know I did not write that.

let's test it out...

LOL

What is going on?  Too funny ladies!

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragment!

Andrea I am also doing some stuff from home that will hopefully result in some additional income because of course, I 'can't just' stay home?  I will fill you ladies in on my fun sideline stuff as it develops as it has to do with LO's but don't want to jinx it yet  !

Kate - Hope you had a fab time having cocktails!!   I had some strange things going through my head when reading Andrea's post; 'What in the heck does Andrea do on a girl's night out?' :?

Traci - I thought at 1st it was food helping Sophie sleep through but last night she was not interested in supper and I was lucky if I got half in of what she usually eats.  So, I figured she would scarf her BIG (8OZ) bottle before bed & she only had about half again.  I thought she would be waking up early for sure.  I am at work of course so called DH at 6:45AM and he was just going to wake her up  !   What a mystery these LO's are...

I really want to try and make the chat but I think it is 10PM for me and that is sooo late (keeping in mind I have been up since 430AM)  I am not working monday so maybe I will have a cup of coffee, maybe even with Bailey's and join you!!

Must get back to it..........

Food and sleeping through... well with my older two girls I found that the two really were not related.  First off they slept 12hrs at night long LONG before we started solids - but then I thought milk intake affected it for sure.

I think once they get their bodies set to sleep through they just do.  Zoe, when weaning to a bottle, went for three days only nursing morning and night and refused all bottles and solid foods during the day - and still slept straight through without a problem.

All that said I can't figure out how to get Kaia and Hannah to sleep through.  Again, though I can feed them as much as I want (nursing) and they just will not do it.  When they DO wake they don't drink a whole lot either so I know the root cause is not hunger but we all know the quickest way to get a baby back to sleep is the boob ;).

well ladies, i just had to pop on and have a quick chat with you all as both of the kids are sick once again. Jay started on fri. morning and Riley friday night.
This one hit them really hard, Riley has been sleeping her chair the past couple of nights as that is the only thing i can keep her propped up in. It is one of those fiher price infant to toddler rockers, kwim. Very worth the money, it has done us for both of them.
We are back to square one with the routine as well, with this cold Riley has barely slept during the day and fights it with everything she has at night
We have Jayson on daily multi vitamins, hopefully that will help in fighting off another cold, they have both been sick on and off since oct 10th, thanksgiving weekend up here.
And I still haven't even had so much as a sniffle with all of this sickness.

I forget who asked, but the sweet potato and chicken casserole that I was talking about was a combo jar from a company called earth's best organics. I love their range of baby food, not a whole big selection, and only for about the first couple of months of solids, but they are woorth the extra pennies.

I think I will most probably be at the chat tonite, I need the outside company after this weekend.

Oh yes, I just had to say this, the mall near us started midnight saturday shopping last night, dh went there with Jay for a pair of shoes and said you could barley move.....WTF it is barely november.......

Take Care ladies, enjoy your weekend/monday depending on where you all are.

hi guys!!
just sneaking on here quick to get my BW fix!! :D

DH says his nipples are sensitive.....welcome to the club!!  :D  other than that he seems to be getting along okay with the shingles.  he's just mad that he can't kiss/hug Jack.  So far Jackson is ok....I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

I'm hoping to make the chat tonight for a bit!!  I think my DH didn't realize how much I am on the computer when he's not at home!!  :D

I have been giving Jack one particular stuffed teddy.  I liked it.  He got it as a present but it's nice and squishy and cute too.  So I went and found it at the store and bought 5 more of them so that I can constantly rotate them so that it never gets worn out and that I always have a replacement.  And I can throw it in the wash without him having a meltdown if he doesn't have it (once he's a little older).  So I hope it is the teddy that he becomes attached to now that we have 5 of them!!

Another constipation aid that I thought of....well, actually my DH 'discovered' while we were in Mexico (on our honeymoon)....is papaya.  It is a natural laxative. :D   Poor guy, thought that he ate something funky so he thought he would just stick to fruit and veggies.  Well had raging diarrhea most of the time.  We couldn't figure it out.  Until we got home and told my mom....she started laughing because of how much papaya that DH was eating!!!

Hope to see you guys tonight!

micky-yes, papaya is great as a digestive aid.  In fact my mom and sister do weight watchers and they are told to eat papaya after meals as a desert because it helps to digest your food.  I bought a fresh papay for T last week and pureed it and she loved it.  I think it also helped with the constipation (but who knows since I tried about 10 different things all at once!  :?  )

Hi, girls!  Girls night out was fun...saw "In Her Shoes" which was FABULOUS!!!  And went out for a drink, but only had water.  Sorry to disappoint, but had to pump when I got home.  I actually dreamfed instead, since he was a bit wacky with eating yesterday and Ryan slept until 8:10 this morning.      I seriously woke up, looked at the clock, and thought, "Well, he's dead."  I haven't had that freaky thought since he was a few months old and sleeping through the night for the first time.  He's been waking up anywhere from 5:30-7:30 for the last few weeks, so this 8 o'clock business was a nice break.

Will not be able to chat tonight.      We are taking Ryan to his first NHL game to see the Blues lose to the Red Wings.  (We NEVER beat them!  )  I am excited about it, but was sad to miss Desperate Housewives.  But, then I realized I'd miss my chat with you all and now I want to go even less.  We'll see how long Ryan lasts, though.  He's been doing 2 naps the last few days...longer ones, but only 2.  This kid is wacko I tell ya!  So, I might see you, but probably not.  Have fun without me.   :D
