You girls are funny! :)

Married the first time at, oh gosh, let me think *doing the math*, 21 (almost 22) so maybe not all that young but young compared to now!! :)  He left when I was 27 - am now 37.  I tell ya - sometimes the worst things in life can turn out to be the best.   Such a conveluded story.  He, *the girl*, dh, and I all worked at the same company.  Actually they all worked there for years.  I worked there in the late 80's then left when we got married, came back just a few months before he left so that's how I was in touch with dh again.  So ex now, still working for same company, has relocated to Texas and working in Mexico and remarried (his third time).  He has one dd a little older than Zoe if I remember correctly.  DH is the one who updates me - he used to have to go to Mexico every other month for a while so he and my ex would 'catch up' ????  I remember just before he moved away I came home from work (he and dh worked at the same location for a number of years after we split and dh and I were living together).  Anyway, when ex left he took very little of our 'things' my theory being if you wanted the stuff you'd have stayed here... so anyway, he did have one of the nightstands to our bedroom suite but that was it.  SO this one day I come home from work and get changed and there's TWO nightstands, matching, in the bedroom.  I come out look at DH and say "do I WANT to know the story behind that?" :)  I guess since he was moving so far away he didn't have any use for it anymore.  Haven't heard anything of him for a couple years now.  Last I saw him was at his father's funeral.  Honestly if I saw him tomorrow I'd be happy to have coffee with him and chat about life in general... my goal in life was never to hate him - but to be indifferent.  Too much energy invested in hating someone and I was done investing energy in him.  And truly, I love where my life is now and I firmly believe that everything we've been through brings us to where we are today - so really I must appreciate what has gone on.  Honestly I was good coworking friends with current dh back when but he and I were in very different places in life and there would have been no way that we would have ended up together if we'd gone out then.  He was a partier at the time - a real 'use 'em and lose 'em" kinda guy.  I would NEVER have tolerated that.  He was just out of a long relationship back then, just as I was getting married.  Then years later when we started hanging out his buddies said to me "oh YOU'RE the girl from work he used to talk about all the time!!" :)

He's a great guy and a wonderful dad.  I should really appreciate him more than I do!

Thanks for sharing your story Judy.  I find it amazing how my life has panned out, I'm just loving my 30's.  I'm just so much more comfortable in my role in life and where I fit.  And now that I'm done having children, it's like another new phase is about to begin (or moving to a new level really).  :)

holy crap girls I go out for the night with dh, our anniversary is tomorrw, so we went out tonight, anyhew, I go out on page 102 and come home to 105.
k....on the sex topic, I used to be in the same boat as you guys, infact the thought repulsed me even, but since I have my new semi permenant friend put in, the hormones seems to agree with me.
lol...ankie thanks for noticing I wasn't saying anything about the lack of sex drive topic, I didn't answer as I now thankfully don't have a problem with it. ALthough when we were I have had numerous arguments about my dh's addiction to porn...nuff said on that.
For our evening out, we went to an art exhibit on art of the ancient meditteranian world, mainly egypt, with a little rome and grecce thrown in too. We then went to a sy italian restaurant, oooo so worth the wait for us to go, and then we went to see the new harry potter movie, the best one yet as far as I am concerned.
I would answer more posts, but I don't have the energy at the moment to answer four pages of them.
K....nighty night my dahlings.

Hannah.............my DH won't be home until 11!  God I hate his job.  Anyhoo, I'm here to chat if you wish.  Let me know.  I'll likely go to bed around 10:30, we've got a big day tomorrow.

Nikki-loving my thirties too...amazing how much of a difference a few years can make.
Naomi..would actually be really curious to hear more about the porn thing..if you are willing to share..you can pm me if you'd want to talk more.  I won't be offended if you choose not to.

Here is a pic from the father daughter dance last night. It was sooooo cute, all these little itty bitty girls dressed to the nines with puffy dresses and black patent leather mary janes. Dancing with their daddies...Dads holding little ones, others with lo's danicing on their feet...tooo cute.
The girls in this pic are a little older..they are former students of mine. Such sweeties.
Night ladies. Have great weekends.

Bec... you crack me up!!! I love reading your posts. I wanted to say... your lo is doing what Arwyn has been doing for the past 2 or 3 days. Remember I posted about Arwyn settling down when we were in the room but screaming when we left? Now, it has progressed to crying when we put her down, even if she is "sleeping" in our arms. I held her for the first half of her catnap tonight (yes, ladies... I hear your gasp from all across the world over the internet connection  ) and DH held her for the last half. Seriously, every time I tried to put her down, she would start screaming. I knew she was asleep too! Anyway... I think it is a serious case of separation anxiety. She is a very independent baby and for the last few days, is super clingy.

Traci... Ha, ha, ha... Arwyn is now amused with the Penaten tin that we have! That is the only thing that will keep her lying down for a short time.

Hannah... Was the father daughter dance a fundraiser or ?? Sorry if you mentioned it before... I must have missed it. Am going to the chat room now!

Ankie, you mean you didn't read every word of my incredibly long posts???!!
Yup, fundraiser. For the hospital.  MIL is on the board.  Funny after all of our talk about health insurance/medical costs that a hospital would need to do a fundraiser right?

Sorry we missed you and Andrea in the chat!!! "See" you Sunday?
I am dying to check out Taylor made, when when when??

All of you girls crack me up!!

That would be really fun Andrea.  Count me in on that one for sure.  OK, really now, gotta go get those dishes done...I can hear their phantom cries! :)
Gotta get up eaarrrrrllllyyy and run...before little tiny girlfriend wakes.  Bec told me tonight she has a friend with a daughter named Sophie Mae (same as our Sophie) and they call her Sophie Mayhem...love it!!!
BTW don't you lve the expression "screaming the house down"?  Not when you're experiencing it of course.
Have a drink for me!

Last left at page 99 and have finally caught up.
BEC, ROTLMAO :D  :D  :D You crack me up! I know what you mean about MMMMMM. What is that???!! Now it is the same IIIIYAA YAA.
So good to see that I am not alone on the whole sex drive thing. Never had much of a drive. Lucky I married an older man (he is only 9 years older) so we are pretty much on the same page as far as that is concerned.
Judy, I had to pick myself up off the floor reading about your previous marriage. You are right, our past experiences help shape who we are.
I met dh in a very boring fashion but knew on the first date that I was going to spend the rest of my life with him.
Andrea, looking forward to "Taylor made".
Ankie, glad to hear your nights are getting better.
Micky, in NZ, we can get elasticised "stockings" for casts. They are totally waterproof. What a trooper Jackson is!
No catnap here for weeks now and overtired baby every evening. Tried to put Sam to bed at 5.30pm this evening and it took him an hour to settle. We had to keep popping in but he would smile and giggle. What do you do with a smiling baby who is supposed to be asleep so I would pop out again and wait for him to cry so I could PU/PD.
Must go spend some quality time with dh.
