Hi All! I missed you ladies today as I was out of the house from 11-8 today! I went to a friends house and she taught me how to make homemade meatballs and spaghetti sauce!
It turned out amazing! DH stayed home with T (what a good guy  ) and then he brought T over to our friends house at 5 for dinner. He said everythign went well all day except she was a little fussy after her 1pm nap eventhough she slept for 1.5 hours. :? HMMM...so I asked how much did she drink at her 3 pm bottle and he said "oh I didn't feed her again, I only gave her 1 bottle at 11 and then her lunch."   WHAT?!?!!?!?!? He said he jsut completely forgot...didin't even think about it!!! NO WONDER SHE WAS FUSSY! When she got to our friends house my girlfriend who is well endowed was holding her and she kept trying to go after her boobs!!! No wonder!  Oh well, at least he tried
Anyhow, enough about us.
Traci, it was me feeling hormonal yesterday...don't know what was up with me. AF still hasn't come! And it is so interesting to hear that Cole's catnap is getting longer too, as Taylor's has for the last 3 days now. One night I finally had to wake her at 6 pm! She still made it to bed by 7:30 though. She has been taking 1.5 tbsp of cereal plus two veggie/fruit cubes at dinner and she gobbles it down, so I think it is time to increase. I would suggest just giving Cole some veggies with his cereal as well. And good for you and your shopping spree!!!
Erin-so exciting! A trip to Puerto Rico! Glad you had fun and Katie did well. Adorable picture btw!
Naomi-glad to her J is feelign bettter so you can have some sanity back!
Ankie-I think you did the right thing about the DF. I don't think we are going to try weaning her from it until at least 7 months and then the plan in Tracy's book is to wean for a couple of weeks, so she will be at least 7.5 months. I think I will have to start limiting who I tell about this site too. Kind of strange your friedns come on her and look at your posts, huh? It is kind of like eavesdropping, eventhough I know this isn't a private forum. Just kind of seems sneaky to me.
Nancy and everyone else who replied back to me about the GS, thanks so much!
And finally Holly, Welcome to the site. You have definitely come to the right place! First, Traci is correct in that you MUST get Tracy's new book...it is excellent and will give you so many great suggestions and will really give you a solid plan. I would start there, as well as reading the sleep interview taht you can download in the sleep forum.
It sounds like you need to teach your little guy to sleep independently, which may be a hard journey ahead, BUT SO WORTH IT!
Second, it seems like he may have to short of an Awake time in between naps. For his age, he should be able to stay up 2-2.5 hours and then be ready for a nap. Because he is up for a short time, he doesn't need to sleep very long.
Third, his bed time also should be moved up to about 7-7:30 (some moms even do 8 pm but that is if he is waking up around 8 am).
BUt before you attempt all these things, I think you definitely need to do your research first and then come up with a plan. Because if not, you may just end up getting more frustrated by trying diferent things. It is not too late, and it may be tough for the next few weeks, but you can do it!!! ANd it will be so worth it! PM me if oyu have any specific Q's.
Good luck and good night ladies!
